Basho and Melody are back too. Huh. I wasnāt expecting the former even though Basho was like the only minor character who managed to show up during the Ant arc and survive unlike poor, poor Pokkle or bee girl whose name I canāt remember currently. Melody isnāt too surprising since she and Kurapika seem to legitimately be friends nowadays, which is nice.
As it is, I have to catch up from at least eight chapters ago before the hiatus, but it says a lot that immediately upon coming back, the situation is still tense enough to the point where I wouldnāt have been surprised if baby was going to do something fucked up and act like a mind-control parasite when her mother handed her off to Kurapika. You can almost never be too careful in this universe.

Iām not yet getting the impression Togashi is rushing anything- I think he probably just put this fight out there to help get readers interested again. Last chapter might have been necessary and fit in the story flow, but it was way too wordy and dry to make for a compelling return after such a long break.
I donāt think heās rushing it, but I think heās not going to draw things out longer than they need to. This series has been running for so long that itās more than fine to have these payoffs even if they donāt have much set up.
Kurapikaās ark seems to consist of utterly stomping his the group who put him in this situation and now just finishing off his search with the final set. just the important parts.

I havenāt completed reading the new chapter yet and Iāve skipped all of your comments. After reading the first 3 pages Iām sure this is what Togashi meant when he said one of the main characters will die in this arc. Iāve previously asked how the hell is Hisoka supposed to beat Chrollo considering that Chrollo has always appeared to be far more powerful than Hisoka (except for that time he lost all his powers, lol).
