Well, this latest chapter looked quite sketchy already. I guess that crate room really did take up all his time. Still good though, given it was going back to the typical Hunter x Hunter âthis next move makes or breaks everythingâ internal dialogue that actually tends to me something unlike in most Shonen.
Too bad Welefinâs dead regardless.
Heâs a wolf, actually. He showed like near the beginning of the arc when they showed all the chiefs, I think. He has some connection with the octopus guy and that Jairo guy with a terrible life that passed by Gon like 40 chapters ago.
As for what he did, letâs see. He was working with the lobster guy that the octopus guy killed to guard something. I think he also killed someone else with his techniqueâitâs some bug-based missiles that force you to tell the truth or they kill youâearlier before he apparently attacked Yupi off-screen. I think he was on crutches because octopus guy shot him in the legs; I forget and Stabby can probably explain it 100 times better.
The wolfâs thing is that he was a sub-level captain of the ants with the power that he didnât trust anyone. He isnât important per-say, but he did run into the octopus, he knows about the girl that everyone is hiding from the king (but he doesnât realize that she is important), and he ran into Pufu who ordered him to do something or other to hide/attack her.
Damned, he was surprised because the en was more refined. He could see footprints and open/closed doors and the changes from last time. The first time he caught knuckle and meleron because they were walking away from the castle, as part of the giant milling crowd which caught his attention.
And I say that the sketchiness of this chapter was intentional. It was mostly during parts where the wolf was freaking the fuck out because he couldnât deal with the power of the king, or where he was scared shitless by the power of the king.

Yeah, Iâm kinda surprised about how decent itâs been given how quickly itâs wrapping up.
It makes me worry more about Gonâs fate, though, given what he did to kill Nef and how things with consequences tend to stay around in Hunter x Hunter compared to other (Shonen) manga.

Iâm at a complete loss at this point with this manga and D.Gray-manâŚthey are just tooâŚI dunnoâŚits all development of some sort, but its like of all ways to do itâŚugh.
