It was pretty different from anything they’ve done in the past and it sounds like it was really, really cool.
- the bundle sale was open for 60 hours, plus a little extra time after for last-minute purchases
- this time around, a full 100% of the proceeds went to charity (wow)
- they also added two extra charities (charity:water and the American Red Cross) to their charity list for this time
- three developers participated in the bundle: Mojang, Wolfire Games, and Oxeye Game Studio
- each developer made a brand new game specifically for this bundle: Catacomb Snatch, The Broadway Express, and Fists of Resistance
- the developers created these games over that same 60 hour period that the sale was open for
- they live-streamed their entire development processes
- they also released in-progress builds for purchasers to try as they created the games
- the source code for these games has been made available to the public regardless of whether or not you purchased the bundle
THE COOLEST PART: People who purchased the bundle were eligible to vote in polls that decided what kind of games these brand new games were going to be. That’s right, the people who bought the games got to decide what kind of games they were paying for!
Catacomb Snatch and The Broadway Express are both real-time-strategy/shoot-em-up games with a steampunk + ancient Egypt theme, while Fists of Resistance is a dungeon-crawler/beat-em-up game with a post-apocalyptic + World War II theme.
WTF? No email notice, no notice on any sites. That’s kinda weak, I’d have loved to picked one up.

Yeah i am actually passing on this one, their games just seem, incomplete for some reason to me, and I bought the damn alpha bundle lol
I owned Cloning Clyde on the 360 and played the hell out of it. Same with Outpost Kaloki and Kingdom for Keflings. It’s seriously a good deal, considering it’s pay-what-you-want.
yeah I gave cloning clyde a whirl and was hatin, maybe I am not giving them the benefit of the doubt heh, i havent played most of the games from the other bundles I got, might at least install the ones from the bundle backlog.
The game Snuggle Truck has just been added on as a bonus for free! It looks and sounds sickeningly cute.
It also includes the game Smuggle Truck as a bonus for your bonus. This was the controversial original design for the game that was apparently rejected by multiple distributors, which is why the game was re-skinned to look and sound sickeningly cute.
