The Humble Indie Bundle: Pay what you want

Wolfire is doing a pretty kickass deal where you get 5 games
World of Good
Aquaria
Gish
Lugarou
Penumbra Overture

And you pay whatever the fuck you want. You want to pay a penny for a bundle worth $80 DO IT!
Plus, fuck it goes to charity if you want :stuck_out_tongue:

Check it out. Even if you’re mad cheap, a penny for 5 games is pretty cool (you cheap fuck).

ps: I am not a bot.

I don’t know if I believe you. Do you even have skin? What does broccoli taste like? Explain the concept of love in ten words or less.

But you are canadian; at least that is the rumor. On a dark, moonless night Valaris travels the land howling from the rooftops. If you hear his how, open your fridge, for your bag of milk may have disappeared!

That, and I also hear that the term for canadian bacon in canadia is ham. Not even a bot would do that. I don’t know if you can be trusted but checking it out nonetheless.

The Lugaru guy has a nice voice.

Cheat sheet

Do you even have skin?
Yes, I’m covered in it.

What does broccoli taste like?
Cooked broccoli tastes somewhere between cooked peas and raw cucumber. Raw broccoli is like a combination of wood and farts.

Explain the concept of love in ten words or less.
When two people like each other a lot. A LOT.

New Humble Bundle out!

The Humble Indie Bundle #2 (pay what you want for five awesome indie games)
Braid
Cortex Command
Machinarium
Osmos
Revenge of the Titans

This second set looks EVEN BETTER than the first.

Also, I heard the Minecraft maker paid like $400 for this bundle. Dunno if it’s true, but sounds interesting.

With 850,000 games sold he better have. Game just went into beta and he’s already making tons of cash. An official release will blow this game open. Do we have a thread for Minecraft?

the highest contributors are listed on the right hand side of the screen, someone paid 3,100$

im outi

Roberth

The minecraft guy paid $2k according to the donation charts

I just bought it too; they added bundle 1 as a a bonus so you get bundle 1 and bundle 2 if you donate at least $7.44

Plus you get steam keys as well, awesome deal

Quick bump, the Humble Frozenbyte Bundle is up. Don’t know anything about the games, but pay what you want is always a good price.

OK I’m looking for some mature grown-up PC adventuring and indie seems the way to go these days if you don’t have a powerful machine. Can anyone say if any of these titles are truly worthy of attention from a very fussy gamer? The only one in either bundle I’m familiar with is Machinarium, which I enjoyed for a few hours. Penumbra looks decent. Lowdown?

The Humble Frozenbyte Bundle (pay what you want for five awesome video games)

Trine
Shadowgrounds
Shadowgrounds: Survivor
Splot (preorder of game still in development)
Jack Claw (prototype of unfinished, canceled game)

Not too keen on this new bundle, but if you haven’t played Trine, then well, you can check that out at least.

The Humble Indie Bundle #3 (pay what you want for five awesome indie games)

Crayon Physics Deluxe
Cogs
VVVVVV
Hammerfight
And Yet It Moves

This is now available. It just went live today.

For anyone who isn’t already familiar with how these bundles work…

  • You pick the price.
  • You get five very cool, unique, and innovative new computer games.
  • There is no DRM.
  • If you’d like, you can also add your purchases to a Steam account and/or a Desura account.
  • You can choose where your money goes, by splitting it up between: the independent developers, a non-profit organization that fights for legal freedoms in electronic entertainment, and a charity that brings video games to sick children in hospitals.

The Humble Indie Bundle #3 is still on, and they’ve ADDED a few neat things.

  • A sixth game: Steel Storm
  • A free trial period for Minecraft
  • If you pay more than the average thus far (easy because most people are hella cheap), they give you all five of the games from the previous bundle as well!

Pretty cool.

A seventh game, Atom Zombie Smasher, has just been added to the Humble Indie Bundle #3. The deal closes in 22 hours.

A new deal has just come up!

The Humble Frozen Synapse Bundle (pay what you want and help charity)

This time the deal is for one game, Frozen Synapse, and its soundtrack, which normally retail for $25 and $6, respectively.

If you pay more than the current average, you also receive the Humble Frozenbyte Bundle free!

Frozen Synapse may actually be particularly interesting to us (fighting game players) because its design seems to place a heavy emphasis on competitive play.

Another game has just been added to the Humble Frozen Synapse Bundle for free! It’s called Trauma.

I just wanted to say even though it was a while ago, Penumbra Overture…fuck this shit, been a while since a game scared the crap out of me.

Yeah, I’m giving it a go.

The whole game is basically yomi.
