Since SFxT seems to be turning some old supers into EX moves, it would be badass if Hugo’s EX Shootdown Backbreaker turned into Megaton Press. Excuse me… Megat-URAGHH…PRESS.

It’s pretty lame that they decided to sacrifice Hugo’s trademark 0 frame grab super for SFxT’s easymode ABC xx SUPER combos. And his SPDs don’t do as much damage as they should. Makes a grappler player like me skeptical of this game.
I love Hugo’s powers of reasoning. “You can’t beat me! Look at my muscles!”
They’re basically turning him into a power-hitter/grappler character, a yin to Zangief’s all-grappler yang, and it seems to be working okay. It sucks that he doesn’t have a grab super but you’re going to be landing it a lot more often, guaranteed, thanks to its comboability. It’s a better super now overall, even if it’s not useful for the same reasons.
The super still does a fuck ton of damage, even when combo’d into. Watch some of the TeamKhaos videos from PAX. Most of the videos are of Kazuya/Hugo. Whoever was playing was using team supers and Hugo was still getting big damage
You’re probably right. Really, it was parrying (and red-parrying in particular) that made Gigas so terrifying, so perhaps this is for the better. I guess I can still get my fix by just picking Zangief for my second team member

I bought 3rd Strike OE although I already have 3rd Strike on PS2 just because I want to hear “Ein… Zwei!.. DREI”… END!" squashing people online. His voice in that game is the best and most fitting in the whole SF series. Except for Necro maybe.
I’m so hyped about Hugo in SF x Tekken. I guess I’m gonna lose my first few matches because I’ll do nothing but Giant Palm Bombers. I *love *this move.
His model looks awesome. He is so gigantic, Sagat is like a little child compared to him.

I will even main him if he turns out shitty. I just hope for st.mp and cr.mk to be good and Giant Palm Bomber to be brokenly godlike. Well, that’s probably not going to happen. Let’s just hope it’s good.
got to compare SPD damage of Gief and Hugo. I haven’t seen anything of Hugo in the TGS guild though, so i dunno if there have been any damage changes

Yea they probably messed with damage output with this game, makes me wonder if they have all characters ready to go, they are just balancing them out
Hugo’s the man! can’t wait to kick some butt with him, I’ve always liked that weird run he does when using Meat Squasher. Also nice nod to Andre the Giant with the graffiti in his art, similar to this.

Geif’s SPD looks like it does way more than Hugo’s… that’s not fair.
Hugo’s SPD damage has been buffed since past builds, played him at Euro Gamer Expo today and his SPD’s were doing SPD damage. Not the same as Zangief’s but it’s still good damage.
Pandora mode looks lackluster on that ass. I don’t even see that shit appealing to casuals, it’s over in the blink of an eye.
Reeeaaally hope Megaton Press makes it in as Hugo’s EX Shootdown Backbreaker. Not only because the animation is hilariously, gravity defyingly badass, but because it’ll give you variable spacing options between a regular shootdown where Hugo throws you away, and Megaton Press where Hugo ends up very close to the downed opponent.
Plus it just looks fucking awesome/hilarious.
Pandora mode is useless. If they really want to include it, they’d better double its length. I’d say 15 seconds is more appealing for those who want to use it. I don’t think I ever will, so…
