Stick swap completed. LS-40-01 mounting plate is wonky. It’s like… a fucking millimeter too wide to fit vertically and like four feet too long to turn sideways.
thanks for the guide. waiting for my sanwa buttons and joystick from www.lizardlick.com.
getting so psyched for the SFIV PC version.
not sure if i should order the octa gate yet
planning to main c viper(i know shes really hard lol) or rufus
Viper is dope for execution. Rufus is just fun as hell. Either way, you chose really fun characters.
As far as the gate goes, try it out with the square and then move to if you don’t like the feel of the deep four corners.
Either way you go, once you get used to it, you’ll stop riding the gate and it won’t make a difference which gate you go with.
someone made a thread/post with what all the different coloured buttons look like on the SE stick and i cant for the life of me find it!
anyone idea where it is???
Really?
You couldn’t find it?
It is in this very Thread.
Laugh.
Four pages back; Page 53:

u know the irony, i got to 54 and went… no im sure its not in this… its in a thread of its own…
thanks mate
Probably a dumb question but here goes…can you simply replace the square gate with an octagonal gate (such as the Sanwa GT-Y) without replacing the joystick? This is for an SE, btw.
Absolutely.
Alright, I’m going to use button plugs on the last two buttons of my stick just because they’re an inconvenience. What should I do with those wires that were originally going to those 2 buttons?
Insulate the end of wires with electric tape or something.
You don’t want the wires to accidentally touch metal somewhere and cause short.
Just wanted to thank you for this thread! Extremely helpful and straightforward.
finished my mod this afternoon
quick one, ive decided which buttons and joystick im getting and am gonna order em tommorrow…
but!
i have a tournament on sunday, and ive been playing with the stock SE stick for that past 2 months…
whats the change gonna be like? hell? should i wait until after the tournament to mod it?
Question about SE stick.
Hello everybody…
I’ve been following this forum for quite some time. In fact this forum and Neogaf’s arcade stick thread got me interested in purchasing joysticks and modding them.
Anyway I recently picked up and SE stick and modded it to full Sanwa specs. Unfortunately in the process I lost one of the rubber feet at a local tournament. I dont know where it is and I am unlikely to find it ever again.
Is there something I can do? Any suggestions bc its really annoying playing with a rickety base. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks
Just wanted to say thanks, no questions right now.
maybe you can get some sort of grip tape from home depot? similar to this
http://www.grippytape.com/?gclid=CJ7vt57Mn5sCFSIuagodb1nWCg
if you’re worried about it being uneven perhaps take off all 3 sides and just add the tape to make it even. i know i saw another member on here put a bunch of extra grip on the bottom of his SE so it wouldn’t slide. good luck
This may be a REALLY stupid question, I don’t know, but do PS-14-KN’s fit? I saw PS-14-K and assumed those are different. I also ask this question because if it does fit, are there anything I should watch out for? Like on the TE, when installing the button closest to the joystick, you have to hold a nut while screwing in the button. Do I have to do anything similar?
You’re right. With everything you said. Stupid question. They are different. There is something you have to look out for. You will have to file that nut.
You should search this thread going forward.
They sell screw-in rubber feet at HD/Lowes, might want to check to see if they have any with screws the same size. Even then though, the feet themselves may not be the same size, so you could get some that hold a bigger screw (so the middle hole is larger) and replace all the stock rubber feet (just glue the new ones in place) so the stick sits evenly.
Alright, my stick came in today. I was hoping the stock parts would do me for a while because I’m wanting to enter in the eventhubs HD Remix tournament next week. But my god, the stock stick is horrible. How long does it usually take for lizardlick.com to deliver their parts?
several weeks - though they are starting to catch up.
Modchipman has been really quick for people it seems, at least with sanwa.
He responds quickly in his thread here so you can see what he has in stock.
