haha yes. one of them was locked so tight on the stock button that I pulled it and the connector literally snapped off inside the quick disconnect. started using pliers after that.
I didn’t bother trying to get the piece out of the quick disconnect, just swapped over one of the QDs that goes on the LB button. fuck an LB, who needs that shit
Is there a way to get the sanwa buttons back into snapping position? I had to pull one back out since it wasn’t going all the way in. Now the snaps seem to be stuck in the “in” position.
EDIT: I managed to pry it back out with a flathead screwdriver. Hopefully that was the correct answer.
I guess i nabbed a newer version SE than i thought.
Looked as if the “A: Yes you can, it might require a little filing to get the button closest to the joystick to fit though.” part didn’t apply anymore. No filing or anything and my button screwed in just fine.
Here’s my problem:
I purchased a JLF stick without plate and harness, I know you can use the stock harness that came with the SE stick. Now with the freaking mounting plate, My dumbass F#@Ked up stripping the screws, I know I could easily resolve the problem by buying a new mounting plate but I’m a cheap f#$K, so is there anything I could do to take out the stripped screws? Besides hack sawin the crap outta of em. Thank you! and FML.
Hello! I was attempting to mod my SE fight stick, however the joystick no longer works. I think something went wrong while I was pulling the connector off of the original PCB. Anyone got a clue how to fix it?
Thanks in advance
I don’t have an SE (my friend has a broken one), but I do have a Hori EX2. I actually prefer the stock EX2 stick to the Sanwa JLF because it has a bigger spring with more resistance. If the PCB wasn’t such a piece of trash, the EX2 would be a great stick at a great price. Mine is sitting empty in the closet right now because I don’t want to go through the trouble of modding it.
The only truly bad joystick out there right now is the Mayflash stick. The buttons and stick on that thing are truly awful.
It would be nice if somebody would produce an affordable joystick with a quality PCB. Aside from the washer issue, most of the problems with the SE and the EX2 have to do with garbage circuit boards.
I just received my jlf-tp-8y and it came with 2 black washers installed.
Should i put one inside the casing and one on the outside?
Or do i only have to use one of these? i dont know how many are used on the te sticks?
