The one I had, was setup with fixed polling rates and tested on fba. I also had my other USB converters(which aren’t perfect as well) and my MAS (ps-2 keyboard port) to test against (perfect).
There was definetly a slight delay. Tried it with 2 ps2 sticks plugged in at once and it was much, much worse - unplayable. I was way better off with the Ebay ones I got. This is on my comp, not online play.
I recall reading on here that the dual one sucked and the singular port one the Source originally had was much better. Steve then told me he had the single one and it works great. I then returned it because all hope was lost, and couldn’t get the single port one because they didn’t have any in the city at the time and my only option was to order it online.
EDIT: This is like almost a year ago btw. Could easily be an older version or different make (it wasn’t the Source brand).
No matter what, a USB converter is going to have more delay than a direct input. It’s all about finding the closest possible one - I’m sure it can get to the point where it’s not a real factor.
My X arcade uses keyboard inputs and is probably the least laggy of all convertors/ equipment ive played on (excluding maybe a supergun which i havent tried yet) if anyones looking to buy one i never use it
I heard X-Arcade’s lagged pretty badly (read that all over the tech forum). But I’m not sure for what conversion process that refered to or if it was the pcb on the stick that lagged as opposed to the converter.
Analog is always the best way to go. I plan to buy a USB stick so I’m not sure if I’d be interested…how many inputs can it take at once? If it can take 4, then I’ll probably buy it.
that’s not “my” photo, i just took the picture from the internet. I don’t even remember getting a floppy. I assume you’re just joking, but then again you didn’t trust me about my awesome Armored Core knowledge so…
Does this mean you are in agreement with the balls on chin policy? If this cost is too dear, then I am willing to settle with farting on your face after I beast all over it
