My friend has been making the “Public Address” series of mixes for a little while, each full mix is divided into three parts, the second usually being a house mix. So if you want some free house and dance, check it out
Dang wish I was there lol. I’ve always liked Sinclair. Some of his tracks remain in my top lists.
(And at OP, for me it was 9th grade when I first heard Stardust’s - Music Sounds Better With You. I was already big into the genre at the time but man… that song’s just flat out magic lol. I could listen to that loop indefinitely. When Daft Punk closed out with it as their encore I nearly wigged out lol. Had I died that night, I would have been just fine with it.)
I’m definitely with you on feeling Somewhere Beyond too. I just discovered it last week. I’m always behind in finding music. Well, not always, but usually my favorite tracks, I find months, if not years after their release even if they are mainstream haha. I’m also feeling this Tim Deluxe song featuring one of the Audio Bullys (Simon). A simply song, but I dig the feel and lyrics. I’m also a fan of both Deluxe and the Audio Bullys so I might be bias. Video is fresh too.

Anyone here have any good recommendations for good deep house artists? I’m huge into Ian Pooley, Gene Farris, Miguel Migs, got a great Nicholas Matar album, and a few odds and ins elsewhere, but anyone know of others who would fall into this category that I may not know of that you feel I should?
I got like everything I post as mp3. Im always down for a good trade to whoever, shout me a PM or something.
I just got Hed Kandi : Twisted Disco 2008, Floorfillers 2008, Ministry Of Sound 2008 and The Sound of Bassline 08. I can feel some of these tracks going HUGE this summer.
I cant find much of him on youtube, aside from some good mixes. His original shit is sublime tho, if you interested I can dig up some stuff I got on cds. He has a track called “Life” and “So Special” they both get mad plays on my ipod.
Daft Punk early on was strictly house music like on their first album “Homework”. Their followup albums “Discovery” and “Human after All” kind of deviate from the genre. But if they do remixes/side projects for their own or someone else songs they give it the house vibe.
I resent that statement, Discovery was French House to the T.
Human After All ont he other hand, reminded me more of a cd full of demos, unfinished tracks and endless loops. Very boring and dry.
But Discovery, that was a masterpiece. The best album of their career IMHO. Its not that “classic house” the old heads are used to but what is these days? You cant expect the genre to stay stuck in its ways, then we wouldnt have so many styles that have clearly deviated away from the genre. . ala . .latin house, electro house, beach house, club house. . etc//
Can you stop claiming to be all house, sir, please! Its all subjective, yeah your stuff is good, its mellow kinda loungey house, but not all house is that.
and that mashup is THE SHIT! two wrongs def make a right on this one, lol.
I just saw this topic, and I wanted to mention that the only artist(s) I never seem to get sick of is Daft Punk. I just recently got wise to the Alive 2007 album. Around the World/ Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger is the truth.
Is what she sings about gay? Because I cant speak French.
Other than that it sounds like . .electronic dance music.
I never understood mans attempt to give music a gender. Thats a VERY moot point, as you move outside the US. Music is supposed to make you feel all cool n shit. The boxes never end.
