Just saw Night of the Creeps for the first time. Had a blast. Kinda reminded me of Return of the Living Dead, the feel of the movie.
Can this thread include true crime type of stuff?
So I watched American Mary the other night. I am not too sure how I felt about the movie. For example the first half of the movie was really good, but then the second half happened and it seemed to take a giant dump on the entire film. it went from a dark drama to a slasher esque movie which was really unnecessary. Been looking for some new Horror films to check out. My wife wants to see the conjuring, I don’t because it looks corny, but who knows.
Cinema Snob is S tier in the realm of video critics:

Not gonna lie, I’m pretty excited.
Tombs of the Blind Dead action figures.
I need to HIGHLY recommend the movie The Loved One to you crazy fuckers. Aside from the ending (a little too coincidental for my tastes), and aside from the goth girl angle that went nowhere that I could understand, this was a crazy fun movie to watch.
One of those horror movies that makes you cringe, but still gives you enough time to toss out witty one liners to your friends. Don’t watch this by yourself, make other’s join in the wtf-ness
Keep hearing/seeing “The Conjuring” on social media. What’s it about?
Just saw “Would you rather”, it was okay since its exactly what I expected it to be… Nothing special though…
“Desperate to help her ailing brother, a young woman unknowingly agrees to compete in a deadly game of “Would You Rather,” hosted by a sadistic aristocrat.”
Saw The Act of Killing, which is more of a documentary but pretty scary in its own way.
Going to catch the midnight show for The Conjuring in a few hours, keeping my expectations mid level… lol
A spiritual sequel to one of the greatest horror games of all time it’s sad it probably won’t reach it’s goal but donate anyway and tell you’re fiends:
I’d like to see another Phantasmagoria.
Oh hell yeah, Phantasmagoria also on the short list of greatest horror games ever, Roberta Williams masterpiece even better than her King’s Quest series.
Anyone else play Condemned 1 and 2? Dripping with atmopshere, super satisfying and innovative game play, wonderfully fucked up story, overall both games are masterpieces as far as survival horror goes. I beat them 5 years ago yet last night I randomly got a strong craving to replay them even though my backlog is huge.
@vynce If you haven’t played the Condmened games I highly recommend you do so, although completely different than Dead Space in most aspects, they hit the sweet spot between installing fear within the player and making him/her feel the adrenaline rush that comes with exciting action. I’m curious to hear your thoughts on both games.
Dunno if you guys watch American Horror Story, but season 3 kicked off last night and was fantastic. Such a strong season opener, and already looks to be FAAAAAAAAAAAAAR better than season 2 was.
Wonder how well a remake of poltergeist would do, since there a ton of ghost movies out now
It would probably be a lot of jump scares.
Condemned 1+2 were soooo good. The first one actually had me scared (the mannequin in the mall scene) I loved the atmosphere of the games. And I loved how you couldn’t just destroy enemies. You really had to work. I may play them again lol.
They wiped out the old Horror game thread, so I guess this is as good a place to drop it as any.
why you think that, the old one didnt need jump scares
