People act like also nemesis was something new, chasing you around, though it was already done before in RE2 with Mr.X
If anything Mr. X was just a precursor. He doesn’t show up too often and he’s easy to dodge(Except the required battles)…
You could do a lot with that Resident Evil 3 remake though. Something among the lines of redefining horror. For example some kind of Survival horror/stealth in a big raccoon city and giving Nemesis a big edge.
Or they could go old school route and just add more or take out what didn’t work in the old school Resident Evil 3.
I think RE3 should have added more stuff, I felt like everything in RE3 was already been done before in RE1 and 2. Dont even need to explain why RE4 is so good.

Played the first 70 minutes of Alien: Isolation tonight, on max settings it’s easily one of the most beautiful games I’ve ever played, the textures and lighting are just eyegasmic, also the sound is just as impressive I noticed when I run the sound of my feet clanking on the metal floor echoes realistically throughout the room, and it’s pretty intense without having seen the Xenomorph yet lol.
I’m probably going to finish The Evil Within before I continue with A: I, I just wanted to test my new GTX 980 TI and got caught up in the game lol.
Isolation was so good I can’t take any other monster stalker seriously. The AI in the Xeno is astounding and despite Soma being very cool, the AI of the enemies in that pales in comparison.
I know we won’t get a sequel cause lol Sega, but I’d like people to see that Xeno AI and use it in the future.
Also yeah PT clones are just popping up all day. PT remake, Allison Road, Layers of Fear, and Visage off the top of my head. It may be the “new” indie Horror cash cow for a bit.
I’m cool with that, Layers of Fear and Visage look great so far.
I still haven’t made time to finish Isolation yet. I think I’m about 1/4 through, already had a run in or two with big papa xeno.
SOMA was fucking rad, Catherine is easily one of my favorite guide characters in anything ever. Her VA did a fantastic job.
I played the Layers of Fear demo on Xbone a while back, and was pretty impressed. It’s probably the closest and best copy of P.T. available right now, I’d definitely recommend at least trying the demo.
I picked up Slender: The Arrival a long time ago for like 4 dollars when it was on sale through PSN, and that game is actually pretty cool too.
It plays in the same vain as P.T. as well. First person, puzzle solving survival horror. If you see it on the cheap, try it out.
