No issues with mine either. The majority of OGs don’t seem to have a paint problem.
I’ve used an original red VLX extensively, hefted it around from place to place, and otherwise used the ever loving hell out of it without any paint loss. It’s known to happen, but not entirely sure how common. Doesn’t seem like something you need to be particularly concerned about.
I wouldn’t worry about it. Had 2 different og VLX’s (one brand new & the other pre-owned) for awhile with no issues. IMHO, you have to be using it non-stop combined with sweaty hands for the paint to peel. Regardless if you have sweaty hands or not, I highly recommend wiping it down thoroughly from top to bottom every time you’re done using it. That’s what I do with all my arcade sticks.
I can’t buy this in France , it really sucks.
I would like to buy on Arcade shock , but custom duty are to high…my only hope is Nippon Yassan , but it seem VLX PS4 is not yet available in Japan?
Oh man as soon as I say this I knew i had to have it but then Boss Debt came calling and now im broke. I might clock in a few extra hours at work just for this though

They probably gave Amazon exclusivity in Japan, and AS the rest of world. Which would be why AS can’t ship to Japan only.

Damn, couldn’t resist and just pre-ordered it from amazon japan. (Which means I’ll never buy a Madcatz SH if they release another :’( .Can’t spend that much money and the excuse I used to my wife was that I need a second player stick…)
Is whatever is over the artwork on the VLX tough like the real arcade panels or is it like the RAP 4/v4/v etc artwork? I’m guessing it’s smoother and more durable than the cheaper series art?

First time I’ll be trying Kuro buttons, I heard they aren’t so bad after being broken in, we will see
The only issue with me is if they’re not broken in yet; there’s that squeak and resistance from side friction when pushed down. Once that’s gone, I’m pretty fond of the buttons and wouldn’t swap them out.
Yeah I heard the squeak and other small plunger problems are an issue but after being broken-in they are good, I’m also a fan of big plungers, like Sanwa plunger size better than Seimistu but PS-14-KN’s are still my favorite even if the plunger is 1mm smaller lol
