Yeah, you always see the projectile travel across the river, turn 90 degrees left, travel up 5 hills to land the last hit on someone running away. His ulti combined with silence is pretty gay too.
So now that Naix has been remade, has anyone figured out any new good item/skill builds with him? I was thinking of something like bracers, power treads (str), armlet of mordiggian, S&Y (since he can be outrun easily now), MKB. Not sure about S&Y because it’s pretty expensive, but the maim may be useful since his slow doesn’t last very long.
Apparently his new ulti is kind of imba. You can do stupid stuff like grab a DD rune, push with it/defend base, then infest a nearby creep to freeze the DD timer and then pop back out again when your team is ready to push. You can also infest watchers, so you can move around the map at 522ms and perma-invis to gank people.

I used to play Dota like crazy… now, I only play like once every 6 months… and I only use Lina, because that’s all I remember how to use… it’s been like 8 months since I last played so I might play again soon! lol

Nah not really. Shiva might be nice as an extra nuke/slow. Otherwise it’s just standard boots/bracers/blink dagger/ into guinsoo/refresher/aghanims/ whatever the situation calls for.
They remade Naix.
Rage - increase in AS and spell immunity for a few seconds
Feast - 5-7% (7 at max level) life steal of their current hp + life stolen is returned as damage to them (i.e. what you steal from them you also do in damage to them)
Rend - slow that allows 25% damage taken by the target to be leeched by nearby party members, target gradually regains ms over 7 seconds
Infest (ulti) - infests a creep, naix heals inside of the creep, cannot be seen by enemies (creep shows no signs of being infected by naix, including any kind of status icon, buffs, auras, etc.), and regains life when he comes out of the creep

Yeah, it’s hard to get a good game in TDA going recently, but i’m not good enough for any level of play higher, so whatever…
League replays are hilariously fun to watch right now, everyone’s breaking away from the cookie cutter teams and experimenting…

People have been doing that for about a year in league matches. It became all about lane combos rather than a whole team combo.
What do you mean by lane combos vs whole team combos?
People prefer ganking and lane domination over team fights now, since it’s easier to gain an advantage by picking off heroes early game and shutting them down than fighting 3 big team battles. What’s the point of Sven with 2 bracers and a treads?
It’s also 50 times more interesting. You’ll see people still sticking with primary carries (Viper, Warlock, Silencer and SF), but a lot of people are sticking to better lane shutdown teams that can function as good team mates in general.
Yeah, THD is showing up in a lot more matches again. Some teams tried out Puck, but he hasn’t been very popular. MYM doesn’t even seem to care anymore. They’ll pick the most random combination of chars and still win.
Warlock is a gabarge hero. . .

lane control ftw. I’d get armlet of mordiggian for Naix. Anyways, anyone seen naix used competetively? I’m sure some team has tried him and pulled off a surprising win.

yes because never having to buy healing with a single mana regen item, and having an aoe stun that doubles as a pushing ability with a way to double damage done by AoE attacks in a hero battle is useless.
warlock is an amazing hero but his ability really diminishes in smaller fights or against hardcore ganking heroes, he’s still outshined by viper etc as a singular carry hero but if you have something like ES Sandking Enigma Leshrac he’s probably the best 5th you could have, he’s still used in high level games even though he’s probably one of the worst of the best carries.
