Anyway I dunno if I was necessarily thinking before Omaha, I was thinking more whenever… I would definitely just take the train down there by my lonesome, but I’d have no way to drive myself around once I got there, so whatevs.
I don’t think I can play at all this week, my cousin’s staying at my house because her mother is going to be out of town. Once the weekend hits, maybe.

So what are we all doing this weekend, I want to see if we can possibly get a GG get-together going with Matt C and some of the new people
I guess we can just use the Japanese version of AC, put the US PS2 on the other TV and run Street Fighter on it

There are a few advantages, but not many
I’m definitely liking Rondo, the polygonal remake is actually not too bad. I really hate polygonal sidescrollers though, thank god the original game is unlockable.
Maria’s redesign in the polygonal version is hella stupid. She’s still crazy broken though, actually I think she might be a little better because the doves seem to have a larger hitbox. Could be my imagination though.
I don’t know if I like this game as much as the first Castlevania (the best!) but it’s close.
i definitely like arcana a lot more than gg right now
there’s something about the game that pulls you in (and no, i don’t mean bubz or lolis)
I’m not feeling as down on GG as I had been. I still wish they’d do something about Slayer/Testament though.
I don’t really think every character is satisfactorily equipped to deal with Potemkin either, but I wouldn’t stake my life on that opinion since I’m not exactly a master of all characters or anything And yeah the whole game should reward “hey I’ll throw this out for no reason” like so much less.
I wish I had good AH competition like you do though ;-;

I didn’t realize you had played the original Rondo? I’ve only played through a few stages so far. I do have Maria and wow she IS really good! I thought I would play through as each and not switch off.
Castlvania I the best? CastleV III Drac’s Curse USA(my fave) is challenging and longer/quest options, killer music, solid pacing, good overall length of game, not too short or too long … it’s Goldilocks. III Jap --> Grant is broken, but music is “synthed” out to the extreme:lovin: lil too easy compared to USA ver.
The more I think and “read” about SFIV *** THE NEW BEGINNING***, the more I hate “1 player” fighting games like MVC2, GGXX, Vism, Genei Jin, and Tekken. But at the same time, combos are fun. :bgrin:
Yeah, imagine if her doves had bigger hitboxes; I swear they do. She feels a little more mobile in the remake too, but it could just be because she’s more well-animated.
I’d already played a ROM of the game, but you can actually unlock the classic Rondo at the end of level 4 of the remake. The only problem is the music stops for a few seconds when the PSP loads from the UMD every once in a while, which is pretty annoying, but it’s rare.
I mean it’s a tough call. You know, since I’m the Castlevania master and everything. I couldn’t get into 3 as much as I could 1.
BTW, Paul has UGNG supposedly, so maybe we all need to get together so you can try all of these badass PSP games

Again, I got my fingers crossed for no custom combos and no hit confirms into your best combo ender off of jab (a la Yun/Ken/Sakura). I personally think the “general public” would prefer some sort of spiritual successor to SF2 to one of these crazy new spastic fighting games, especialy since 3D games are so popular and lack a lot of the cliche complicated fighting game crap like supers/custom combos, but what do I know.

I’m in for games. Got a party Saturday night, but should be good other than that. You know, if people actually post that the shizzle be going down, and we don’t just all sit around waiting for someone else to do it.
Oh, and my phone disappeared. Not sure how or why (it probably involved sexy robot ninjas), but until I get a new one I’d appreciate heads up posts to let me know when things be going down on the fo realz.
