I don’t get where I said anything about quitting because a couple people dropped for a week or two or any of the rest of that, but you seem not to be personally insulted anymore so good enough

lol I didn’t quit. But meh whatever I’m goin to Japan:rofl: I’m probably gonna return to playing Testament on the side again(why not he’s stupid good now lol). Melty Blood and Guilty Gear will be my main games while I’m there and I plan to play them regularly.
I’ve still got a handful of things I need to take care of before I go plus I’ve been working so really only the weekends are free for me now.
A scene can’t exist without people and we don’t have people. That’s pretty much all their is to it.
This part is true but I don’t know if I agree with this:
They’ve got a small scene in Florida and it looks like those guys just beat MINT/BAS/Kamichan (which, and I’m pretty optimistic about US skill level, I did not think was going to happen this year).
Single players are capable of a lot.
Regardless our scene was/could be doing better.

This is probably the worst that the bocomo SF scene has ever been. Gunther’s closing was a huge loss, but the scene was pretty bad even when I started working there. Even if someone opened a GOOD, SUCCESSFUL arcade w/ all kinds of different games, I don’t know if that could breath any life into a fighting game scene. Columbia has always been dependent on college student gamers migrating here from other places. All of the “Columbia natives” have slowly moved away over the past 10 years.

People get older, interests change, people move away, fads change, people start jobs, the evolution of video games and business of video games etc. are all to blame. But if you really love doing something you’ll find time and keep doing it no matter what.
I personally am pretty pissed at Capcom, the last ORIGINAL title they released was 7-8 years ago. They basically abandoned the idea, of NEW ideas. Fighting allstars must’ve been really bad if CFJ was acceptable? And the snk crossovers:rolleyes:. Can you really go out w/ 3S? SF has to go out w/ a bang. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, 3S and ST have some really good systems/graphics/styles/gameplay/flow/yada yada, but both suffer from their own defects. Meld the pros, drop the cons. Brand new game to reinvent a new “best” fighting game.
You know what needs to happen? There needs to be another one of those revolutions, not evolutions. Pac-man, SF2, DDR, Wii, all of these changed gaming drastically, whose to say that some company out there isn’t working on it?

Haha thanks. Neco chaos is fun in this game. They gave him all of nero’s good normals basically. He even got nero’s 4C(in his case it’s 3C) but he can’t combo off of it but it has a little bit more reach lol.
