There’s so many shows I’ve never caught from the beginning, such as 24, Smallville, and Lost, thus I’ve always been too far out of the loop to get into them.
However, this time is different! Ever since I caught the first episode, I made it my weekly duty to not miss a single episode! Only the second episode and it’s already too good!
fellow heroes watchers! fuck the haters! this show is TOP TIER!
i love how comic book esq it is! to me, it almost feels like a xmen spin off… but still good!
i downloaded the pre air pilot and i loved it … i had wait almost 3 weeks for this ep! def worth it tho
random: prof suresh’s hot neighbour … is that summer roberts from the OC??? (obviously with a haircut) … i was watching prison break before today’s episode and the neighbour also looks like the girl tweener hooked up with at the hotel.
none the less, the gene pool of the bitches on show is strong. esp. the milf!
EDIT!
damn i did some research and i found out i was wayyy off on the prof’s friend.
her real name is nora zehetner … she was in a movie rls’d last year called “Brick”. she also was on a tv show called Everwood, on the WB.
I watched it again. I guess it’s okay. It’s on right after MNF, or else I wouldn’t bother watching it though. TV in general is annoying because you only get little bits and pieces of it over a long period of time. I might just wait until the season ends and just download it all. Probably the best thing I’ve seen on TV for years though, not a big fan of TV in general.
I still think this show needs ME, as the legendary Holy Phoenix. I’m not sure what my powers are, but I assume I have flame powers there somewhere.
Me thinks, her alter ego’s been killing people in the past, since there was a skull already in the ground(signifying that dead bodies had been buried there before) Or my friends think her mirror self went there in that 4 hr time span, but thats silly, why not go and do the burying in that 4 hr timespan, than let her normal self go do it.
At one point, i thought the semi-butch cheerleader girl was gunna get killed from some shit after declaring that she was the hero, until claires dad had the video tape… boo
That ending officially made this my new ‘oh shit, its on’ show for the season. I also agree, I think the milf with the mirror self, has been around for a minute.
Also the neighbor girl seems like she could be a spy.
wow the end of ep.2 reminded me of the day of lavos in Chrono Trigger! Looks like Hiro witness the catastrophy that happened in new york before teleporting back in time. Which the painter guy painted.
i missed episode one due to circumstance and a very weak desire to see the show. i watched it last night because there was nothing else on. man, am i kicking myself for not seeing episode one. i loved it. i love the storytelling aspects of it and i really like the mystery they are leaving in it, with the forshadowing. great show. definately gonna be a “can’t misss” show for me.
if you miss any of teh shows, you can get them on NBC’s website…they have all there shows available for streaming there…
my understanding: everything that happened happened, except for the Hiro in NYC timeline. reason: Nathan is elected in Hiro timeline, while in “normal” timeline Peter says “good luck with your campaign” or something else like that. i guess he could have been elected the next day, but it doesn’t seem likely to me and is far more reasonable to assume that everything happened in real time except Hiro’s journey which was 5 weeks in the future
im thinking nikki’s power is akin to a insane hulk. she blacks out and then her hulk side comes out…thats why she has time lapses.
all the really crazy shit goes down november 8th. the guy wins the campaign and the world ends november 8th, 5 weeks from now.
but it lookds like nikki’s handy work in the future…it could be a red herring to make us think nikki goes hulk on the artists…but also may not.
nikki’s power seems to be super intelligent…at first i thought it was a ghost. but clearly not…then i think its a hulk type character…but it apparently knows where a mob buriel ground is.
thats what gets me…how does it know where the mob buriel ground is. im trying to base this character off of other comic characters…and it seems to be pretty damn original.
this show reminds me of 24. its like 24 meets x-men.
anyways, im not understanding nikki’s power, i know her reflection can do stuff but, jeez, did you guys forget that gaps of time just disappeared on her? she changed her clothes and got a new car in about a 2 second gap, then a phone call comes and her son says shes been gone for 4 hours.
also not understanding the flying brothers, did they fly or is he dreaming? i know at the end it showed him fly for a split second but if they did fly, how did he end up in the hospital and can the brother fly as well?
do you guys think the step dad is shylor or whatever killer the cops are trying to catch? i dont know if the dad is a bad guy or a disappointed step dad that her daughter wont talk to him.
i still see nothing from the indian guy except he found the code that shows where all the ‘heroes’ are, maybe the ugly ass girl is a spy, i hope so. there is no point in her if she is not.
now as for hiro, i have no idea what to say about him. he saw the end of the world, like jack baur, and they must stop it. dead body plus faint = too good.
nikki’s beastmode comes out when she’s uncouncious…meaning it does what she really wants.
she wanted to clean up the mess and when she blacked out…her mess was cleaned up and mob buriel ground map was made.
now as for the brothers…its not a dream, they both can fly. i jhave a feeling the older brother has known for a while but maybe not. they both flew but i think the younger may have two powers like empth/and flight.
I watched half of episode 2 and then went back and downloaded one and two.
Sylar is probably using the brains for something else. He could either be working alone (with super strength, ice powers, and some sort of super sharp blade) or working in tandem with someone else. But by the sounds of the tape left with Prof. X Senior, he’s probably acting alone but under the eyes of someone else?
Claire is of course cute as hell. I always knew that little girl from Remember The Titans would pop up later. I didn’t know she’d look this fine though. Her acting seems a little weak atm. We’ll see.
Niki/Ikin (get it?) has the most interesting story right now. She has a boy genius and Hulk/Hyde/Bloody Mary like powers. EDIT: And maybe Ikin roams around more than Niki knows? To clean the garage, register a car, and still end up randomly in a parking lot is quite a feat. Maybe Ikin is constantly plotting in the background to protect Niki. This show is so fucking gruesome too. It does not shy away from the violence. Sheesh, even rated R flicks like Blade don’t come this close. Oh how did NBC pull it off.
The cop is gonna be super funny to watch and I’m glad that it’s not someone who’s either a) already smart and/or b) a woman.
Peter’s powers are probably just power absorbing. He couldn’t fly till after his brother touched him while he was using his powers. He couldn’t predict the future until after he touched our Art Prophet. EDIT: More proof of this is seen because when Peter touches the Art Prophet, the prophet is still high, and when he is high he paints the future. Now since drugs affect the brain, I guess his genetics are so that his brain feeds off of whatever drug he’s taking. Maybe he could use different drugs for different effects. Doubtfull, but you never know. Now back to Peter… So maybe that’s what he really has (and maybe he can learn to fly consistently too).
Now for some trivia that may come in handy later. If you noticed in episode 2, that funny looking ‘f’ symbol comes up at least 3 times. I for sure saw it twice. Once in Hiro’s future in the Art Prophet’s apartment and in the present in the pool of the crime scene in LA. I wonder what that means.
Oh and I hate Prof X Jr’s new ‘friend’. Her acting and perfect timing annoy the hell out of me. Oh and wtf is with at least not one character calling the authorities. In the real world, someone would profit off of their abilities. This show is gonna need that to make it grittier (and maybe Sylar is the one to do that).
Sylar could be Claire’s dad, the traveling business man (which would explain the murders in LA.). That’s too obvious though for a show like this. Sylar is looking for something. In the future he killed Issac (now I remember Art Prophet’s name) for a reason, and I’m guessing because Issac could potentially see what Sylar would be up to next. And Sylar can’t have some prophet roaming around now can he?
And now in LA, that little girl may serve some greater purpose than being a newly found orphan or perhaps Sylar/Glasses Daddy has something more sinister up his sleeve. Thinking about Claire for a second, she’s adopted but why? Where are her parents ya know? Now you think about the little girl in LA. Maybe Sylar killed Claire’s parents years ago and took Claire in. Perhaps that’s what Sylar wanted to do with the little girl in LA. He’s probably trying to take out any potential threats to his serial killing. Keeping someone like Claire under his watchful eye would be to his benifit because he just could never be able to kill her. If she found out (assuming Sylar is Glasses Daddy) that her adopted father is really a mass murdering serial killer then she wouldn’t stand for it and after much fighting eventually kill him.
I say that Claire’s powers seem more Deadpool like than Wolverine like. Logan has regen powers but it only has ever seemed like it was just with his organs. I don’t think he can break bones like Claire can and be alright. Claire could probably lose a limb and just reattach it like Wade does (getting split in half for instance). A fight between Claire and Ikin would kick ass.
