Yeah, that’s a good point. Nathan is fucking shady about his powers, in fact shady about everything, as we saw in the last ep. I figure he’s been flying for a while now. Maybe he sucked at saving Peter because it was unexpected, and I doubt he’s had experience holding on to other people while flying.

I choose to be in this thread because it has fun conjecture, good discussion, and interesting opinions. Spoilers suck because they serve no real purpose. Part of the fun of watching the show is the questions it raises, and the suspense the questions create. Posting spoilers completey destroys that, and there’s absolutely no reason to post them in the thread. ** If we wanted spoilers, we’d go out and look for them. ** Thinking up answers and then seeing how they agree with the actual show is much more fun.
And besides…
You choose to post spoilers… If you dont want to put yourself in plain view of potential negs dont spoil.
EDIT: Also saying “then don’t read the spoilers” just doesn’t work. Everyone knows that while reading a thread it’s hard to stop just flowing from post to post, and before you realize you’re reading a spoiler, you find out that Nikki’s kid is actually Sylar in disguise or some such thing.
I think the hard part about it all, is that a lot of conjecture does end up coming true. None of us have any real insight on the show, and even most of whats on the net so far for this show is other peoples conjecture. You are entitled to have yer view, as I am mine. I’d just hate to see someone neg’d for an iffy spoiler. If I came on here and said I know for a fact who Syler was, and started linking places like wikipedia, would I get negged? maybe…
Well see that isn’t so bad. However if you typed out that “Sylar is in fact… SYLAR!!”, that would be annoying, because that’s easy to read before you realize you just read a spoiler. If you typed out something like “Wow… Sylar’s true identity revealed: http://www.wikietc.com/sylar_true_identity”, then that’s cool.
So what spoilers were revealed in this thread? Since the series just started, there hasn’t been anything except for what will happen in upcoming episodes, and that is mostly just about what the episode will cover.
Anyways, back to conjecture…random thoughts:
-Now knowing that DL can walk through walls and such, how many think he has always been around MIcah without Niki/Ikin knowing it.
-Im soooo hoping that Asian-voyeur chick from the hotel has super powers. This show is completely missing out on that demographic.
-Why is Hiro randomly able to speak vairly good Engrish, then none at all???
- Not sure, but certainly explains why they can’t hold him in Prison
-Never thought about that… she seems to be a future major character, maybe she’ll bust out some random ass power.
-I think his engrish varies as the plot needs it to. He needs to not speak english whenever the friend needs something to do, and he needs to speak english when he has to have a conversation with an important character (Nathan).

I know this show was picked up by the network for the year… How many episodes does that mean? In some places its being reported as 7, but some as 10. Can anyone confirm?
I love this show, but I’m scarred that its going to suck season2 and beyond. I mean, right now its the hotness because everyone is learning their powers and just meeting each other. Once everyone has their powers; then what? I just dont want it to become something cheesy where the special effects start to take over, and the acting begins to lack.
While, I can’t confirm, I do know what the standards are for a season.
A Standard mainstream Prime-time TV Season is 22-26 episodes.
Standard cable prime-time TV season is 20-22 episodes.
Standard “HBO season” (which is what USA, FX, and other off the wall channels use) is 13 episodes.
So Hereos, being on NBC should be no less than 22 episodes.
According to that interview on the website, the creator knows exactly where he’s going with Season 1, and he knows where he’s going with Season 2 as well. I’m also a little confused as to what’s going to happen next season… once they get their powers established, it’s going to be a little weird…
Also according to Nielsens, this show is one of NBC’s current biggest hits, so very little chance that it’s going to be cancelled.
I figured most mainstream shows had either a 22 or 24 episode year. But, this is a Pilot-year…

Jaldaboath, the general consensus definitely leans towards no spoilers as opposed to spoilers. And what do you mean “you don’t care enough about the show” to go look for them. You’d rather read an unorganized thread sifting through information than take 10 seconds through google?
Anyways, we’ve already had this conversation before. I’m still going to neg anyone who posts up spoilers, and encourage other people to do the same. There’s absolutely no reason why you should be posting them here.

Anyways, the show is so damn predictable that I don’t get how could anything spoil it, but w/e I’m still a couple days late to every show because of the torrent delay so I don’t care.
BUT, the thread title should be changed so people don’t come here without knowing about this and get negged while they think they are contributing.
maybe a seperate thread needs to be started and title the spoiler free hero thread.
spoiler is only if they leak TRUE INFORMATION about FUTURE EPISODES that have not aired. I have read this thread and I have not seen anyone posting spoilers that have not already be revealed in episodes. I see people GUESSING whats going to happen, and thats fine with me.
I see some people saying “SPOILER” and i read it, and its about past episodes so it didn’t really spoil anything for me.
I didn’t see anyone that posted who syler is, and im glad because THAT would be a spoiler, unless they deleted there post and i missed it. But if people guess that its peter (which i highly doubt for reasons i posted in my other posts), then thats fine with me.
