I initially thought the black guy (they need to tell us his name so we can stop callig him that) was a leech type character, but my cousin said he’s probably just a stronger telepath. Glasses man told him, “Go deeper”, as in, deeper in his head I’m assuming. And I don’t think he’s Sylar, that guy that made that woman almost shoot herself was Sylar (the kid was saying “how did he find me?”).
if you go with the idea that the black guy is can block powers because he’s a stronger telepath, its conceivable that he can also contorl people’s actions against their will…but “sylar” has shown to have powers beyond that…
The nurse/autopsy person (I know they have an official name dammit 
) at the beginning of the episode, when recording notes on the body, mentioned that “someone” had drug the body to a river, which is where it was discovered.
And yeah, there was blood on the branch.

It wouldn’t make sense for Hiro to be able to freeze/unfreeze people at will, since Hiro even said he almost didn’t recognize Peter when he met him. All he knew was that Peter was on the train.
It’s a good thing that I’m from Canada and they play 24 and Heroes at different times.
But if I had to choose, I probably would watch Heroes… though I’m pretty sure I’d be in the minority.
Peter/Sync
I like a lot of what people are saying in this thread. For me, I think that Peter is definitely more like a ‘Sync’ character rather than Rogue. In some of the commercials they have been showing, they show Peter flying up without his Bro there…and at the end of the most recent episode when they show clips for next weeks show, in a quick cut-scene you see Peter with the white eyes just like the painter guy.
About Hiro and the train… Peter has not yet evolved and really has no way to even control his powers. So this talk of him repelling other powers, at least in my mind, is false. Hiro on the other hand is Future/Chrono-Hiro. Even at this point in the current timeframe he is the most evolved of the characters, so him being able to pick and choose who freezes seems quite in line. Shoot, he was able to teleport across the world 2x and even bring back the comic book without fully understanding his powers.
About Ikkin/Nikki… I think someone posted about it already, but, I think the Ikin version is teh true version, and the Niki is the subconscious that we happen to see because of the Genius-Kid. I went back and re-watched all of the episodes, and in the very first, the Kid was reading a comic (9th wonder?). I wonder if that book had the same Artradamus predictions in it. Beyond that though, why have they not developed the Kid at all…my prediction---->> Sylar=Kid.
As I understand that was just procedure on every autopsy. Also they will find out if there are drugs in her system (discoloration of organs, etc) and foul play is involved and they have to document those.
The only thing that is sort of doesn’t make sense is the time because it all happened in one night afaik (she died, boy disposes of her body, her body is found and brought to the coroner and the coroner does her work and Claire still has time to go back home in time for breakfast, even though afaik she was miles away). But that doesn’t really matter, doesn’t prevent the plot from moving forward or anything so I’m not gonna waste energy even nitpicking something that small.
Heroes all the way! 24 episodes aren’t hard to find online anyway besides, its not like they need the extra ratings. They got enough fans and lemmings watching their show to keep it afloat.

Exactly. If you guys remember, Hiro was running around on top of all the cars trying to find Peter. I think he just knew that Peter would react to his powers like that (being able to stand outside of time like Hiro) and that he just needed to figure outPeter’s location. If he knew how to just pull Peter aside he would have just teleported into the car right next to Peter. Instead he kept peeking in different subway car windows (and probably running through a few too), saw Peter, and then teleported in behind a frozen passenger.
Yeah… I was thinking the same thing but let it go. The writers should have gone for a more dramatic take of her being missing for a few days, coming back to life during the autopsy. That way people would be like “Where have you been?” and then all sorts of shit hits the fan for her. Hard to explain being missing and butt ass naked.
i think the flying senator’s powers are pretty refined, he seems to be comfortable with them…he even hinted at taking nikki out for a flight just to impress her panties off…i think hiro can control who gets frozen similar to his ability to move time forzen objects around, its just more advanced…
new thoughts
After sourcing through a few of the Heroes fan sites, came to a few more conclusions.
I no longer feel that Micah=KID is Sylar. I do however feel that Nathan may be. When they show Sylar and the cop in the hospital, Sylar flies away…Nathan can fly. Nathan also plays a congressman/senator; which in most instances is a corrupt position. He seems uncomfortably comfortable about his powers everytime him and Peter are talking about them.
DL, the black dood, may in fact be Micah’s dad. No concrete evidence yet, but just a feeling.
Peter Petrelli= play on Peter Parker (duh)…
The next episode is called “HIROS”. I have a feeling that Future-Hiro visits Peter, and in turn gives/shares** his powers with Peter. Thus, multiple HIROS.
Also, about the Symbol that keeps popping up. The more I look at it, the more it resembles part of a Double Helix. I’m thinking its a representation of the Mutant/Hero gene…
i don’t believe peter’s brother is sylar simply because sylar’s power seems greater than just flying, much greater and peter did not gain anything but the flying when he was around him. i’ve always felt the black dude was micah’s dad. the one comment that really sticks out in my mind is when micah was commenting about his father…something about he won’t be found…but that could mean he’s dead or he’s in deep cover…i dunno, just always stuck out…
It’s possible. However, I’m still of the belief that Peter has to touch someone before he can use any of their powers. He touched Nathan when he flew, and then he was able to fly. He touched Isaac when he OD’ed and then he was able to draw the future.
Since he hasn’t touched Hiro yet, I don’t think Peter has any sort of time manipulation powers yet. I think that Hiro allowed Peter to show him his powers. Hiro has a message for Peter and I think after a display of Hiro’s powers… Peter would believe anything Hiro would say.
I think absorption of powers thru contact rather then proximity makes a lot more sense. But then again, I could be wrong.
In other news, the promotional poster shows one more character that has yet to be introduced.
this sounds horrible, but I think he’s Micha’s father simply because he seems to be the only other black person on the show.
i can’t say enough that Hiro is the best character on the show. Psi-Cop seems like a decent guy too, but he wasn’t in enough of this episode. Sync Peter could be the most broken if he’s surrounded by other Heroes. Ikin must have super strength or something to kick that much ass. By next season, I half expect Boy Genius to start SHOOTING MIND BULLETS (that’s telekinesis, kyle). The Senator Brother sucks and is a jerk so its ok that he has a sucky power like flying. Cheerleader totally took out the RapeBack in an cool use of her powers of undying.

I don’t think it’s Nathan. In Sylar’s apartment, there was a map with possible specials on it and Nathan’s picture was posted on there. I don’t think Sylar would put a picture of himself on a map if he was trying to locate other specials.
Pretty sure it is. Micah’s grandmother (who is black) talked to Niki about DL and it’s pretty safe to assume that DL is the father.
