Well since we actually did not get a demise of heroclix, I figure I would make a thread on this, I assume some or most of you have played this before.
I started playing when the very first set came out and rules were all over the place in 2002 I think.
All I can say is that Veteran Firelord was BOSS.
Anyway, Hammer of Thor set is now out of print and I picked out some good clix on ebay from 1.00-3.00 each
Much better than a booster, since I actually got to pick who I wanted. Even though Vostagg is impossible to find and Capt America is way too expensive because of his stupid SP that ignores all terrain. I picked up Thor, Starlord, Daredevil, M-11, Ronan, Ulik, Balder, and Namor from Secret Invasion.
And I am definitely buying a brick for Web of Spiderman. Wayyy too many cool clix will come out of that. They have a few previews at Heroclix.com ? Wizkids/NECA, Inc. The Carnage click looks awesome. And Osborn has the same alter ego power as Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne from Bold and the Brave. Cant wait till September.
Anyone got any cool tips or tricks to give?
I recently made a 250 point team including Prof X, Shang Chi and Ronin. (My friends usually play with 250 or 300 points)
I think that Charles is from Mutations and Monsters, he is 133 points, and has Cerebro which is Perplex but works for characters sharing the same keyword. Since Shang Chi and Ronin both have Martial Artist as a keyword, so its pretty sweet to boost their AV or DV +1, or even Dmg to +1 if they arent using BCF. Charles is also ridiculous because he can Cerebro, Outwit, and Mind Control all in one turn. Savage.
I actually just got back into the game a few days ago cause of the street fighter set. Bought a box and pulled everything but Sagat, Evil Ryu and the Chase Rares (minus Zangief)
I think I might just buy or trade for the rest. No real point in buying another box or more if I’m only missing a few singles (granted, expensive ones.)
WTF Odin plays Heroclix, I would destroy him. TheDarkPhoenix also plays as we used to PM each other on upcoming Heroclix events.

400 points Avengers team, Golden Age-
GSX common Wolverine w/ Pym Particles and Thunderbolts.
CA common Bucky-Cap w/ Armor Piercing, Not so special, and Thunderbolts.
FF Veteran Hawkeye w/ Pym Particles and Thunderbolts.
WoS common Red/Blue Spider-Man w/ Lunge.
399 Points. I don’t know how Pym Particles and T-Bolts would work, I assume I could activate and pick my team since it’s all at the beginning but if not I’ll switch the PP for something else.
My other team is a 300 point Martial Arts theme with Captain America and Ninjas, post it later.
I wish I kept up with playing this, the big event for 2012 is Infinity Ganutlet based and from the few pics I have seen of the, what I am assuming are prizes for winning tournies, they are amazing.
I kinda got back into the game…last time I really played was in 2004ish or even earlier maybe. Rules changed quite a bit and I was a little put off by the cards at first, but overall i think its actually a much better game now. Right now for 300 pts i’m running GSX Prof X, common Wolverine, and Psylocke. I’d love to drop wolvie for emma frost, but i dont have anything to fill up the points while keeping it X-Men themed. Professor X is so fun to run. Once I get my hands on the new Magneto I’ll probably run him.
I built a Checkmate team that did surprisingly alright, well until Queen of Fables stopped rolling shitty at least. I’ll try the 99 point version of Max next time and drop Red Arrow for Count Vertigo, better crowd control.
