This is good stuff, man. Cr.mk I mostly use for mp raijin stance blockstrings. On the off-chance I land it though I haven’t been able to combo it into anything yet.
Speaking of which, it also goes right into his Super. Not to sure if this was known already, but just throwing it out there as an option:
(far) :d::mk: xx :hcb::3p: (adds a nice 60 to his Super’s base damage)
Dr. Wily outfit. DO IT Capcom.
After Eisho Mon, you can do St. Short, Medium, RH then EX kicks or launcher.
Also that overhead also links to standing short. The reason I bring up standing short instead of crouching is because it makes the combo not as hard when it comes to positioning it correctly since st short reaches farther than crouch.
Good job at pointing those out though! It helped me find new ways to use these normals.
Hot-damn, you’re right! That’s good stuff, don’t know why I didn’t think to fiddle around with standing short on these. I’m especially surprised at the chain after Eisho Mon. Thanks man!
No prob. I was looking for a way to combo those command normals and I came across this.
Off :f::mp: you can link his :f::lp:, :mp: chain for a ground bounce.
So you can do f+s.MP, f+s.LP xx MP, s.HP xx MP DP, s.HP xx MP DP, s.HP xx LK DP.
[edit]D’oh, looks like this was already covered.[/edit]
You can also do :lp:, c.:lp: in place of :f::mp: to start that combo off his overhead.
del1rium
Haven’t you got one too many “s.HP xxMP DP”? I can’t seem to juggle that many.
========
Looks like his b+lp (overhead ground bounce) is possibly [S]+2 frames[/S] +4 frames on hit.
You can combo into c.mp afterwards
b+lp, c.mp
edit: Of course… there isn’t much practical use to doing a c.mp after b+lp.
But working out frame advantage is always good. Until the official guides come out
I cannot believe how good Heihachi is in this game! Counter is amazing in block strings, and fLP, MP is awesome … Man he’s got so many high low mixups up close it’s ridiculous. Love this damn game lol.
Heihachi is a beast!!! I’ve been pairing him with Guile and these two character balance each other out greatly. I mainly use Guile to zone and turtle. I bring Heihachi in when it is time to do damage.
Here is a nice little combo I found with Guile and Heihachi
Guile’s short flash kick - hit ground or air - immediately hit MP+MK to bring Heiachi in, then F+LP,MP, FP, Dragon Uppercut. does close to 285 with 1 meter.
I hardly ever use Heihachi’s ex moves. His BNB combo already does close to 300. Save the meters for cross assault after F+LP, MP or tag cancel.
It’s do-able, but difficult.
This works, too. But personally I’m finding I like going into f+LP to get the high/low guess if I screw up the link.
It’s do-able straight up. But I don’t think you can do it after a ground bounce. As the original combo is…
f+s.MP, f+s.LP xx MP, s.HP xx MP DP, s.HP xx MP DP, s.HP xx LK DP
I think it may be past the 6 juggle limit. Please re-affirm again.
Oh I think you’re right … too early, no coffee. -_-
Well…
I hate to say it. But his target combo of…
F+lp, mp
and
F+lp, hp
Are not a true block string. And VERY PUNISHABLE. Reversals and Ultras
F+lp, lp
is a true block string.
Just saying. Down the road… you can only do it off hit-confirms. Otherwise… anyone mashing Uppercut will win.
edit: right now people are getting hit by it or trying to block-high for it. Eventually they will catch on and counter. Think of SF4 Guile double-sweep.
so the opponent can smash out reversal after a block F+lp? damn that sucks!!!
thats the mixup…high/low/pressure/nothing
Okay, a note on fireballs (outside of Jin’s) and those who choose to spam them. If you have 2 meters on deck, you can Demon’s Breath ( :qcf::lp: or :mp: ) a fireball and buffer his Super if you confirm they didn’t block the return-fire, haha. This works well on spammers because sometimes the return trip catches them in startup for their next fireball. Pulled this off today and it was oh so satisfying. :d
Yep!
Also note, F+lp is also punishable on block.
So you MUST do a follow-up lp, mp or hp.
It’s nothing you can spam a whole match. You have to use the mix-up occasionally. Otherwise the opponent will reversal as soon as they see the F+lp.
All target combos are safe on block. It’s just the inbetween part of it.
Gief cannot SPD you after any of the target combos if you back dash.
Gief cannot punish inbetween with Lariat or normal SPD. He will instead be countered himself.
Gief can punish inbetween with EX SPD, however.
During hp follow-up.
Same as above. Except Gief can punish with KKK Lariat. It would seem his lower invincibility counters hp follow-up perfectly.
However, no gief in their right mind would use this. As a mp follow-up will counter the kkk Lariat. Giefs have no choice but to EX-SPD.
Whilst Shoto’s can just mash Uppercuts… or Ultra’s.
It’s a great mix up… just don’t abuse it 10 times in a match.
^I’m gonna have to take that into account. Is f+mk safe on block? I’d check myself but I gotta work.
Also, I think we gotta start talking gem loadouts. Whether thats in here or a new thread we should find an optimal set that meets his meter needs, and/or keep him alive in those bad matchups.
Typo?
Heihachi doesn’t an unique normal of f+mk
