The Hajime no Ippo (HnI) thread - Gazelle Punch Her in the Gut!

fuck that niggas lean back…think back to taka’s fight ippo…drop them hammers on his ass. force crazy number of downs to demean him.

This was one of my favorite fights. Now I feel like re-reading it :razzy:

Just started 800! Almost caught up!!!

So I finally jumped on the bandwagon. Yes don’t even say you late nigga to me cause I know

Seems that you guys are all ahead of the actual anime. So what I’m asking is that where you guys get your shit from and is it in Japanese or English?

I read all my manga on Onemanga.com. It’s fan translated.

You can get the anime with dual languages if you want. There’s an Ignition One torrent floating around that’s dual language.

For the manga, you can read it at onemanga.com or http://ippo-online.confusticated.com/

Thanks

Also does anyone know the chapter the Anime left off at? Geez christ I didn’t know there were 800 something chaps.

JGreen: I think I watched all the Anime up to date.

unlurks 399 is right after the Taka-Hawk fight and right before some backstory the anime doesn’t go into, so that’s the best place to start if all you did was watch the anime. You’ve got a way to go.

This week’s chapter is late. I want to see Woli take a real hit already.

I would just re-read from the start even if you watched the anime. They cut out a lot of jokes and if you liked the humor in HnI’s anime, you’ll like it in the manga.

800 chapters?

Actually I would if I had a lot of spare time, but I don’t. I guess at this rate I’m just have to wait for the Anime. Thanks though I didn’t think I be like 400 chapters behind…

The 800 chapters isn’t as much as it sounds. Lots of the panels are action shots with little dialogue.

I hope the next chapter has Ippo remembering the Hawk fight and utterly destroying Woli. Yeah, I know, that’s not going to happen.

Trust me, chapters and volumes fly. Usually takes about 20-30 minutes to read a volume on average (10-12 chapters per volume on average), but since Ippo doesn’t really have tons of dialogue in between fights which usually take about an entire volume to do anyways you’re looking at about 20 (mins) x 89 (volumes). That’s about 30 hours, so take out an hour a night and just read a dozen chapters, you’ll be caught up in a month. It’s nice to have shit to do anyways, don’t always gotta rush rush rush. You’re not going to fall behind any like that, you’ll miss like 4 chapters total in that entire time that you can read in about 5 minutes, all on website.

Click your way to victory man, only 14000 clicks =]

seriously, it’s like he’s completely forgotten that he’s seen this EXACT SAME STYLE before. :bluu: Only thing this time has changed is the weight and that woli jumps too.

nah, for the most part, the anime is pretty good about leaving all the puns and dick jokes in. most notable changes were the tyson references, black aoki and that they left out the hayami vs. kobashi fight but that’s pretty much about it.

however yes, if you consider yourself a true ippo fan, you should go start reading from volume 1.

Damn you even broke it down by clicks. I guess i’ll give it a shot.

I started reading on 8-16-09 and today I’m completely caught up. We can trade places, I’ll start watching the anime again while you read the manga haha!

Chapter 869

Man, this is shaping up to be a great fight.

Haven’t been this hyped for a fight since Mashimura.

Shit. I never realized the chapters are so damn short now that I’m caught up. I’m so used to reading through entire fights! How often do new chapters come out?

Yeah, I felt the same way once I finished. You get spoiled being able to read through the fights at your own pace. Anyway, Ippo gets weekly releases. By the way, which fight was your favorite?

Edit: Damn this fight is heating up. I can’t believe that was only the first round. I’m surprised Kamogawa didn’t mention Hawk at all. We still haven’t seen what Woli can do in the corner that makes him so dangerous.
