I think they’re probably referring to New Challenger itself; since it is the 2nd series in the franchise, after all. Guessing they’re showing the trailer there for the first time for the US audiences?

The Kamogawa backstory is the one that deals with Kamogawa and Nekota as prize fighters after World War 2.

I think I am done hating on the last Miyata fight. And the fact that the New Challenger has been doing well further encourages me to get back onto the Ippo train.

Does anyone want to see Fighting Spirit get to the end? I don’t know, but this series is closing in on 20 years and I kinda want to see Ippo finally win a world title bout and fuck Kumi.
Yea looking back you sort of wonder how slow mangas in general develop slowly over time but this is by far one of my favorite mangas.
The series probably go on another 10 years.
Ippo is in his prime by that time. So I’m guessing this will go another 15 or more.
