I figured it out for myself actually, 2nd round 3 knockdown rule.
I am kind of accustomed to the Fight Night series in which hooks to the body are very good. I switched to working the body with low uppercuts and whooped his ass hella hard.
I just pushed him to the ropes and unleashed tons of body uppercuts, I pretty much don’t deal with hooks very much anymore it’s too slow.
Btw: I am trying to beat up the cast with Kenta Kobashi. I got a few vids up, I tried fighting Arnie Gregory and got absolutely assfucked though. He beat me by 3 knockdown in the first round. I also tried to beat Vorg and he slaughtered me, as did Hammer Nao and Iwao… I’ll get em though!
Edit: I have a question. Since I have Japanese version of the game, how do I adjust difficulty for Exhibition match? My wife tells me that under the modifiers for Power, Speed and Chin it is only a modifier for “Power Level”. So that seems to me to just modify punching power as I had High Power Jr. Lightweight Mashiba take out Pepto Bismal Takamura with a Normal power level.
Then I tested Ippo on High Power using Normal Ricardo Martinez and creamed him in the first round, so what gives.
Is the only real difficulty moderation the so called “Power level” as I couldn’t find options to change it. Thanks.
Seeing ep. 16 yesterday and how Hawk is such a bastard made me even more hyped to see the Takamura vs Hawk fight. The way Takamura ended his earlier match was nothing short of amazing, too.
He was in the first anime series for quite a while. You get to know Geromichi pretty well imho.
I have been trying to avoid reading the manga but I saw something about Sawamura and needed to know what his deal was. I’m also interested to see if Geromichi comes back cause I read online that he retired, but the Anime contradicts that (and manga too maybe?)
I’m also interested in Itagaki’s match against Fumito Makino and the whole Ralph Anderson thing. I really hope they cover at least up til Sawamura this series.
I’m also going to be updating my channel soon with more Kenta Kobashi madness. I beat Keigo Okita by decision, so I want to get him KO’d and I also want to beat Hammer Nao on video. I think I can probably beat Eliki Battery too.
I don’t think he has had another fight but he just said that he would continue I think.
Itagaki is an arrogant shit. In some ways he reminds me of Roy Jones jr maybe it’s me but some of his punches this fight looked to come from awkward angles, his reflexes and elusiveness are a given.
That being said, I see his wax wings melting at some point.
nao hasn’t appeared ever since the ippo fight but he said he was so inspired by ippo that he would continue his career. i speculate that we will see him on day again becoming the japanese champion in his weight class.
[details=Spoiler]actually has a small cameo later in the manga when takamura goes “traveling.” unless my memory is out of order and that’s already happened.
i know it hardly counts as an appearance, but still.[/details]
