The Hajime no Ippo (HnI) thread - Gazelle Punch Her in the Gut!

Hama Dankichi obviously… Look what he’s done for Volg.

I mean technically speaking Bill Stewart should be up there if not the top, after all he’s backing Ricardo “Da Gawd” Martinez. Miguel Zale clearly has displayed the best ability to spot natural talent overall.

However, I do get the feeling Martinez’s talent overshadows Stewart’s training abilities. Versus Date, Bill seemed more like emotional support/ fanboy instead of a textbook trainer. Before Stewart, Ricardo probably had the ”Way of the Fist” in him with the on his back. Wandering around Mexico on fire like he’s Evil Ryu or some shit.

Miguel Zale’s pretty top tier. All of the boxers he trained became champions in a short period of time. He has a knack for discovering people with enough raw talent to make it big in the boxing world.

Oh yeah, Zail is a top tier trainer… Nigga was in Anderson’s corner when Kamogawa caved his ribs in, and called everything Kamogawa was gonna do…

Anderson was just too prideful/stubborn to listen.

But I have to detract points for training Woli, so Dankichi is #1 overall.

Soon it will be revealed that Woli was a fever dream that Ippo had.

And on that note about trainers, Shinoda is bottom-tier.

Sure, Aoki and Kimura are the comedy jobbers, but they’ve both shown glimpses of being more… The fact that he’s been coaching them all these years and not gotten any of that potential out of them is proof of his scrubbery.

No, Itagaki doesn’t count, because that nigga has got the Speed Force… a blind monkey could be his corner, and he’d still be successful.

Shinoda is probably not as bad as every one thinks.
It’s just every other trainer we’ve seen is way fucking better. Like World Champion tier and Shinoda is just Japanese champ tier.

Shinoda was gonna quit because he accepts hes pretty bawlz as a trainer, but as Po pointed out hes got god of time Itagaki, whom I know you guys hate lol, but needs heavy plot armor to prevent him from already having a world title.

All the best boxers in HnI are freaks, its hard to tell who the best trainer is from success, Shinoda is really the only guy seen dealing with constant bullshit and keep on thuggn.

New chapters are out!

Nice chapters. See y’all in two months for the end of the fight.

Bison getting scurred suddenly surprised me, but I’m still loving this fight. Takamura x-copying errythang!

3 more chapters just came out on mangastream.

Dat last chapter cliff hanger.

I’ve enjoyed this fight. Probably the best one since Vorg fought mike in Las Vegas.

The artwork in this fight, maaaaaan

Best fucking Mangaz. He duffed the shit out of him and I was like “YAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSS”

One thing I really like about this fight is when Takamura was struggling he’s the POV character, but when Bison starts struggling he’s the focal point.

On top of, you know, the awesomeness of everything else.

This match is entertaining. Can’t wait to see it animated.

…Did I hear an echo?

that left swing is gonna work somehow :coffee:

Poor Bison, his spirit is already broken so it’s a done deal, but props for Takamura consistently outsmarting his opponent rather than just utilizing brute force. Those reads were siiiick!

Two more chapters out!
