Even then the storyline would have been stronger if Ippo lost and Sawamura had to go through being alone despite being Champ still. Fight was weak because it was one of the strongest showings of plt armor when it got ridiculous.
Woli fight was even worse. At least Gedo had a reason for being the way he was, despite the actual boxing gimmick being completely ridiculous. Woli had no reason for existing, period. That whole OBPF arc just started off bad and got worse and worse with every fight, the Woli fight being the pinnacle of that mountain of shit.
Ep 14 is so good.

Takamura beating up the kids was too funny. Eagle signing Makunouchi and Miyata’s shirts was hilarious too.
Assuming Takamura vs Eagle is going to be a blood bath? Please tell me I’m right.
It winds up being a very difficult fight for Takamura, the last one he has before his title run turns into a comedy act. After Eagle, every other challenger either gets bodied in 30 seconds or almost wins because Takamura is fucking around, just for him to win in one punch. There’s surprisingly little in the way of actual character development as to WHY he hasn’t learned his lesson yet after this point.
So, what happened to the manga? I haven’t seen any updates for months.
Im assuming Mangastream has gotten lazy or They’re doing like 90 chapters at once.
