This was a really good episode.

I cringe when Makunouchi got hit by that counter. I’m surprised his neck didn’t fly off clean or anything. When Volg left, I wanted to hug him. At first I thought he had said, “Mommy, I love you”, but it turned out to be something similar.

Yeah, that’s the beauty of anime vs. manga. You can’t really appreciate how devastating a punch is with still pictures. The matches are so much better when they’re animated.

I think Mori does a fine job of conveying power punches in the manga. I think the onus is more on the animators to preserve that, which so far they seem to be doing well.

Dude this last episode wasn’t very exciting but I guess that’s how it usually goes with these shows aka the calm before the storm. But the previous episode was pretty awesome. It’s always a great episode when you get to see Volg’s White Fang in action :smiley:
