edit: perhaps you dudes just forgot about when ippo took a clean one to the head and almost lost to that scrub, broke handed boxer. then him recovering via single big toe balance and punching the dude so hard he pinwheeled and lost his memory. something tells me that the âparryâ of ippos left and the followup wonât be nearly as damaging as broke hands punch.

What, plenty of chars in shonen are married and have kids. Yeah we donât need to see it happen âon screenâ but heâs being a bit too screwy on it. I donât need them to talk about having sex, but I would prefer he gets married and then a kid, that looks like him mind you, pops out.
Either that or just donât waste any chapters at all on it. If youâre going to waste chapters on him pursuing the relationship let him have it. If you donât want it in your manga donât even bother with it. As it is, the problem people have is the wasted chapters. People want to see plot development and resolution, they donât want a lot of wasted time/filler.
This is the same manga with Takamura in it, a dude that pulled down Ippos trousers infront of a couple of chicks and then proceeded to bang them after Ippo runs for it. Also any time they are in Takamuras appartment, some seedy shit always goes down.
i canât think of any main shonen (manga) characters that are married and have children, can you give me a few examples? not trying to be an ass, just none come to mind.
while i wouldnât mind ippo finally getting some meat pocket action, i think it would be kind of weird at this point given how long itâs been going on (going on meaning not actually making relationship progress). then again, watch ippo crush ricardo jr and then smash kumi shortly after to show how much heâs âgrownâ.

edit: also, the reason i think the author is keeping the relationship around is simply due to the draw it has for some readers. if kumi just stopped being in the manga then weâd end up losing mashiba as well (most likely) and iâm sure people would be upset since so many people want to see ippo lay the pipe.
The closest Ippo got to action was with the doctor who rehab his hand. Ill never forget him getting wood then proceed to rekkaken his dick, hes never got that reaction off anybody so far, also chronos sister/kumi/news reporter also are gonna have some battle royale over that elephant penis sooner or later. Ippo is just keeping his options open tbh until he takes the world title.

I liked that doctor character. She was cool. I had always hoped that theyâd bring her back to work some sort of medical miracle to get Sawamura back in the ring, but I guess that would be too much.
