I just started watching the old anime in preparation for the new one. I’m very pleased so far, the humor is decent, and for an old cartoon they capture the action well.

Man, fuck the Miyata hate! His fights are 1832987x more interesting than Ippo’s Rocky comebacks. You don’t know if Miyata might win or not, but with Ippo it’s a given. I’m pulling for Miyata in the Miyata vs Ippo fight. Ippo ain’t got a damn chance unless Miyata has to diet before the fight.

Miyata is just too damn fast for Ippo. When they fight Miyatat will already be comfortable in Martinez-tier while Ippo will still be leveling up.
at the peeps who want to see Ippo vs Randy. Know that Ippo knows about the Static the only reason he’s gonna win is because the manga is about him otherwise, Randy Boy would own the shit FOR FREE.

I phrased myself wrong initially I guess. Itagaki’s dad is such an Asshole and he makes me laugh quite often.
The children though, I have previously stated my dislike for Nanako and it continues today. Manabu… well, he’s not my favorite character in the least. His speed makes him way too broken. I forgot about some of the classic moments with Mr. Itagaki though. What a douche
