The height of the grab changes with the puch used. lp is lower, mp is just in front of him, hp grabs avobe him… and ex is the same as mp but with invencibility.
So, to instant izuna as an anti-air, we better use the HP (and if i miss the imput, a jump+hp will come out, and that aims higher too, so it might hit or trade)
I wish we could use bunshin flip and as an anti-air, but it seems that bushin don’t grab avobe him, or it needs a lot of initial frames…
HP or EX but really any version is viable it depends on the move you are going to grab.
Can anyone give me the inputs for armour cancel/bushin flip?

After a forward throw i can jump 2 times and j.mk and that creates a safe jump crossup, to train my enemies not to do weird shit. Later i can cancel the second jump with an elbow… etc.
What other “safe jump mixups” does Guy have?
normal jump mk after a run-slide only works if you hit target combo xx run-slide?

Okay Forward throw jump times isnt really a safe jump, it just leads to an ambiguous cross up on some characters and helps avoid Early reversal attempts however if the opponent does it late enough example Honda, you will get hit, But Safe jump is normally done after a run slide period, and you can do mk hk or in cases hp. and i believe all his safe jumps are beaten by 3 frame reversals EXCEPT i believe forward grab, dash dash forward jump IMMEDIATELY after dash will be safe except I’m sure the attack Guy does will miss.
So I know from the ground df.rh can juggle into ex.hozanto, and a video showed a combo juggling it into rh.tatsu. I’ve been playing around in training trying to use df.rh as an anti-air similar to chun’s df.lk. If you do it early it connects, but it has to be real early. Anybody else have any success with df.rh as an anti-air? Anyone know anything it juggles into if you do land it as an anti-air?
No luck cause I never go for it, but it juggles into Run/Slide, EX Hozanto, HK Tatsu and Ultra. You can reset with, HP, Cr. HP,cr. mp, walk forward a bit st.mp, unsure on st. mk
^^ you can also reset in the corner with cr. rh. if you do it late it knocks down… if you do it early you can dash under them following the sweep. i know you can also do ninja sickle > EX shoulder > rh/EX hurricane in the corner.
ahh i LOVE doing the ninja sickle > cr.hk reset in the corner. i seriously thought i was the only person that actually used that in matches. its so sweet <333

here’s a question… has anyone tried armor canceling EX shoulder against fireballs? i understand it won’t be easy to do because you’d have to do 2 separate motions… but maybe you could do it like… qcf, df, d+KK, db, b+PP?
if some one can get this down this could cause serious problems for fireball characters.

I used to go for the ninja sickle reset pretty often, but I’ve found the Bushin Chain > Throw reset to be much more effective (at least in my experience).
it doesnt leave you in the corner ? and them mashing shit can be said for any reset lol
I use the ninja sickle slide reset whenever i get a large stun combo in the corner. Add a nj.hp and your damage will be almost maxed out for the combo. Only thing is you just dont get a knockdown but still a good chance to either reset again or apply more pressure.
I been messing with Ninja Sickle slide reset to set up U2 lately. Don’t really know how feasible it is at a higher level of gameplay but it’s been working a dream lately.
im pretty sure theyre able to jump out of it unless you time it to come out PERFECTLY on the single frame they land on…which would be incredibly difficult to do consistently
Now this is going to be a weird statement coming from a once flashy player…but why exactly would you want to Armor Cancel an EX Shoulder? Vs. what opponents do you think it will be useful? Immediately I’m thinking Guile and Gouken b/c they recover so damn fast from their fireballs. Gouken is kinda free for Guy at any rate though…
