I have a double OS … I think it’s pretty nice…

but I haven’t tried in real matches… I use it to warm up and so on… and it only works on backdashes and focus + backdash
dammit, the hard thing is to explain it…
After a run slide HKD

I’ll put it this way: using the position of the numbrers in the keyboards
2 + lp
2 1 4 1 + lp and mk at the same time
2 + lk and hk

if everything is blocked you get cr lp + cr lp + cr lk

against a rough backdash you will hit a BSK

and if they focus backdash, the second cr lp will whiff and you get a slide to hit…

it can always be mixed with safejumps and other special moves of course…

it works on training mode, but due to lag and stuff I havent used it in online playing… and I’m playing less than before so…
but there it is… I hope I made myself clear

I have a query based on linking cr.lk after run overhead. Run overhead is +2 on hit and guy’s cr.lk has a 3 frame startup. So how is it able to combo? Is it character specific? If so, which characters? Does the character have to be crouching or standing? I am able to do this with blanka but fail against other characters. Any information on this would be highly appreciated.

It’s character specific, the list has floated around these forums before and you can simply test by having a recording of every character holding downback (via human)

It’s caused by the fact that guy is hittting the 2nd portion of his run overhead on a later frame, which causes a +3/+4 depending n the character.

Does Guy have frame advantage after breaking focus? Supposing the opponent was Ryu.

+5 if it breaks focus and is a counterhit.

“breaking focus” - are you talking abut breaking super guard?

as in breaking focus attacks, 2 hits of overhead.

Also Guy in Omega is pretty OD… needs to be tournament legal… :stuck_out_tongue:

wow they gave guy a lot of stuff im surprised… Some of is useless considering the other things, and some moves are worse though for some reason… But over all they gave him a lot of new things. Pretty impressed. Combo video coming soon probably by night time…

Sucks other characters didnt seem to get as much new stuff. And again kinda a bummer looking at guy as again some of the stuff doesnt make sense, since other new changes do the same thing but are better but umm props for at least clusterfucking it up and making it different

There’s a PDF floating around of all the moves added to Omega, hopefully you manage to find some impressive things outside of what’s listed, one thing to note is the first hit of EX hozanto actually causes a crumple if you FADC, and he has an extension to his Bushin Chain for 1 bar after the 2nd hit when you do down and 2 punches.

ya not sure what the point of the down + 2 punchs durning mp or bushin chain mp is. Doesnt seem to have any purpose doesnt do good damage or stun. Especially considering most ranges that you can hit mp, you could hit to hp now to elbow elbow combo in omega. I thought maybe its use was at a range where you hit a max range duck lk, to stand mp. or something but that doesnt link in omega for some reason anymore.( i can only assume to stop run over head loop in this) My only thought is its a sorta adue? Or whatever that word is to the sorta alpha 3 mind set of wiff stand mps out of range, and if it hits you level 3 super. So now with this you just wiff mp out of range, and if it happens to hit something you are mashing down +2 punchs the whole time… so a sorta brain dead little footsie damage scenario…

Being able to ex throw out of regular throw doesnt seem to have much use either other than being again a adue or whatever that word is to other games where you could still knee bash to throw behind.

Omega side tourneys might be a thing now.

But apparently Guy has some very interesting FADCs, he can juggle off bushin chain throw midscreen with st.mp and apparently can do an additional bushin chain off of it like in SFxT?

im not if he can do a doublr ff chain yet I haven’t pulle it off yet
Still, he has alot of combo potenial

so uh… cr.mp is faster. and NInja sickle is faster

and close st.lk has some use it can link to st.lp and… st.mp forces stand

Guy getting so much stuff in Omega mode tells me that Capcom is seriously considering putting Guy in SFV, and is spitballing to see what would be good for Guy’s next iteration.

This should make me happy, but it doesn’t.

I messed around with Guy in training mode for 10 minutes (so correct me if I’m wrong) but it feels like they’ve changed everything about Guy that makes him unique, from the perspective of SF4’s distance game. Hopefully, Omega Guy (if he really is a SFV Guy beta test) will grow on me.

For now, I’m really not feeling the changes to his jump arc, elbow drop momentum, and wall jump nerf.

Elbow drop is reminiscent of his Alpha momentum where he would still move forward for a good degree, but his weighted jump feel is a bit irritating, I would have just preferred the same distance but faster speed, but considering dashes are so fast in Omega I’m not really bothered by it.
