Wow, this is amazing Gilley! Some of those combos in the beginning made me scratch my head, and then your execution towards the end was incredible. This vid showing what was possible and the new buffs Guile got in Super (supposedly…these buffs havn’t really been seen in actual play yet) has made me excited to keep Guile on for Super.

Have no fair we have guile buffs str8 from the devs, it lookn preety sweet the devs say he is at least middle standings

Im not sure on the exact frames in terms of how much error you have, but it’s definately possible on all characters, but it’s pretty range dependant. If you point blank c.mp xx boom xx lvl 2 FA, I don’t think it will work on anyone, for example… you have to give the boom some distance to allow you enough charge on the FA.

Yeah, this pretty much sums it up. It’s variable based off of distance and what character you are fighting. If you are trying to combo into lvl2 FA from a SB, you will need to learn the sequence of hits before the SB depending on who you are fighting against. c.jab > c.jab > c.strong > SB > lvl2 FA works most of the time though.

Heh, I can’t watch the video atm, but I find it interesting that this works. I know I was never able to pull it off in personal testing and I figured that b.hk didn’t give you enough time to get a down charge to just c.mp xx flashkick after the fact. Were you able to pull this off yourself or was it tool-assisted?

It’s a 1 frame link. Plink the b+rh earlier than you think you should. The only combos I used macros for is the j.rh > ultra and df+rh > super. I just couldn’t charge fast enough myself, so I was never able to actually perform these even once without using macros.

I once saw a video of someone pulling off j.rh ultra, I tried it but was not able to do it. It was done on a cornered zangief. The thing I really liked about all these combos is the fact of using b+hk after a nj.hp I think we can apply that to real matches.

Being a 1 frame link with no ability to hit-confirm, you run the high risk of the FK coming out but not connecting…and we all know how much it hurts to whiff a FK. Would look sweet thoug…and do a good amount of damage

That counter hit combo after the F+MP overhead was very nice. I can’t believe how many views that thing has in just 2 days. That one vid has more views thatn all my vids combined… lol Nice work Gilley. Can’t wait to see you test out the Super engine and I can’t wait to test it myself.

The first SF4 Guile combo video had almost 150k views in 1 day. It has now broken 800k views as of this week. I’m not sure why it was so popular…possibly because of the hype leading up to SF4’s console release…everyone searching for SF4 videos on youtube.

It’s not you Gilley. It has to do with Youtube’s new layout. There are massive bugs regarding small stuff like this. Examples include ratings not saving, settings not saving, compatibility issues with web browsers, stuff like that. Just make the background gray instead of black lol

I saw Yazu playing on NSB over the weekend. It might be on lordaborigine’s channel later on. There were 2 video sources on the stream that showed the player sitting at the machine. He holds the joystick so friggin wierd. It’s some eagle claw style grip. He grips the joystick by putting his hand over the top of the joystick, curling his middle and index finger over the top of the stick. His thumb rests over the right side of the stick and ring finger over the left. He’s got the best charge time I’ve seen in any Guile. I’m surprised that he holds the joystick this way. It just seems like an awkward or inefficient way to hold the stick.

Yazu’s going to be a monster when Super comes out. His booms are already crazy fast.

On a side note, nice to see I’m not the only Guile who whiffs FK after a Super to build meter. One of the few times you can build some meter without putting yourself in any real danger.

Also, before anyone says “Just SB to build meter; it’s safer” screw that noise. I won’t sacrifice the ability to SB for a tiny bit of meter. FK while holding back and you still got a back charge while building meter.

Crazy night over in Shibuya. I tried to talk with this guile, but he didn’t speak any english. Either way, many high fives and grunts of approval were exchanged. On another note, I got to meet Ameriken for the first time. He beat me quite solidly with his sagat.
