He means inefficient in terms of how much programming and processing power something like that would take. I think.
Either way, I find it strange that while the video comments on how much processing power this would take, it makes NO mention on whatever workaround they supposedly made for it.
According to every school ground rumor ever, Street Fighter II was the most complex, open-ended game ever made and the stuff you could do in it was limited only by a player’s imagination. Some favorites include:
Guile can jump inside the jet in the background of his stage and fly around and shoot missiles at the opponent.
E. Honda can jump into the bath in his stage to restore health.
You can pull the lever in Zangeif’s stage to make all sorts of objects fall down and knock the other guy out.
Blanka can summon the snake in the background of his stage to strangle the opponent.
If you throw your opponent at just the right spot in Bison’s stage they’ll hit the bell and make it ring.
If you make another player vomit enough with heavy hits they just pass out at some point
I remember a childhood friend of mine claiming that he easily beat Doom or Doom2, can’t remember which one, on Nightmare. To this day I still call horseshit to that.
About the Smash Bros. Melee, There is a vid of a capt. Falcon beating 3 lvl 9 computers on yoshi’s story and taking do damage at all. But that’s just one match. TO be honest, I’ve never played the story mode of melee so I don’t know what that’s like.
Oh, haha, just now remembered the biggest lie.
My crew and I were having a smash fest at my place the day for a tournament to prepare. A kid from South Florida asked if he could house with us, and also told us that he trains with Ken, Asai, and other top players in smash. Already we’re a little skeptical but we’re still down for housing him and seeing how good he is.
Well, he shows up and we play some games with him. I don’t think my crew and I ever beat someone so easily in that game. At one point my brother 4 stocked him and took 0% damage. Right before my bro could get the finishing blow on his final stock, he reset the game. lol
No way. The best you could do is run your ass through the first level and get out with a handful of health. There is no getting past the 2nd level on nightmare lol
Back in Mexico, me and my friends used to play tons and tons of SSBM. We played it so much we sometimes made 2v2 matches and bet things like gums, a bag of chips, 2 dollars, a movie ticket and many more. But as time passed and a new Smash Bros game didn’t come out or was announced, people started to make up a lot of bullshit:
You could use Mew if you popped his bubble when he appeared out of a poke ball with Link’s up B.
Dark Link could be unlocked if you beat the event he was in 100 times. Did it also.
If you get 20 Cruel Melee kills you unlock Sonic and Tails. Did it with Roy and nothing happened
And the most famous of all without a fucking doubt, this got my whole grade and 1 grade below us and 1 grade above us looking for answers to this. One of my friends brought the game manual of SSBM, while we were flipping the pages and looking at all the things there was this section with the typical :: “CHALLENGER APPROACHING”:: message. But the shadow didn’t look like any of the characters in the game, it looked more like a lightning bolt. My friends went crazy and suddenly the hunt for lightning bolt character began. All the hype of SSBM in my grade came back like for 1 more year. Some of my friends said either them or their cousins had fought the lightning bolt before, and that his smash attacks were almost a one hit KO. A friend told me he was very near to kill him with Ganondorf, both had over 200% damage but the lightning bolt did a “super” and killed him.
Ah mexico, I miss you :razzy:
Some other include:
Platinum Pokemon version with the third evolution of Meowth as the main legendary pokemon. (This was actually real! But it was a pirated version)
Blue Shiny Pikachu.
Fighting Ash in the original Pokemon Yellow games.
Lol! I don’t get how you can lie about that and then expect the person you’re lying to to not find out. If you’re bad at a game, people are gonna know when you vs them.
Getting all of the actors who played James Bond in the multiplayer mode of Goldeneye. I really believed that hoax, and I worked hard to fulfill the “requirements.” I even resorted to cheating to meet my goal, but I still didn’t get All Bonds. By the time I found out that other Bond models were in the game and had to be retrieved via GameShark, I had stopped caring.
Also, I can’t believe no one has mentioned Rain in the arcade version of UMK3.
