You know, that sounds similar to Naruto in a way. Eye users need to kill their best friend to get the most powerful upgrade
I still laugh at how oddly specific the sharingan power up is.
Oh hell naw. I’mma dip. I’d say see y’all on the DBZ thread but I’m avoiding that one until I finish Super Manga
Missed that post. I didn’t read the manga for the U6 tournament arc. It might be rushed or bad.
Everything after is really good.
Goten and Trunks were some strong lil bastards.
Why back in the day, I was in denial and assumed they were weaker than Super Saiyan Goku was on Namek.
Then I saw how #18 shitted herself when Trunks nearly hit her with an intentionally held-back blast.
Too bad Super has done nothing with them.
18 needs a power boost as well.
Cause the best girl in DB by far.
PS : i do wonder why Vegeta keeps such a big grudge vs Goku cause he lost to him, but getting owned by 18 didn’t shake up his pride.
Technically 17/18 are probably the strongest non saiyans in the series currently…
On their world anyway.
Most likely because Goku continued to surpass Vegeta every time Vegeta thought he got the one up over him. #18 was basically an ant to Vegeta once he got out of the rosat.
Everything up to it was rushed as hell. Frieza’s fight legit got skipped.
We’ve seen with Gohan that DB is inconsistent and the story is the reason for things occurring. There is no real justification for Goten and Trunks strength other than Toriyama wanted them strong. That’s it. The issue with Dragon Ball is that there is no logical reason for things to occur. There is no real rule set for how things happen.
Gohan is a prime example of this. Future Gohan did apply himself and trained harder than main timeline Gohan ever did and he never hit Super Saiyan 2. Using the rules of the Freiza Arc, Future Gohan, after 13 years of fighting and zenkai boosts, should have stomped all over the androids. People try to make sense of things after the fact and as soon as the next arc happens whatever justification come up with gets thrown out the window.
Toriyama, for all of his genius, is not a stickler for narrative consistency. He doesn’t go back and check what he’s previously done and flat out forgets things. Cough…cough…Launch…cough cough. Hell he was going to call Super Saiyan 3, Super Saiyan 2 because he had forgotten that Gohan had already ascended to that level.
TLDR: Goten and Trunks strength has nothing to do with any sort of rule. Toriyama writes the story and then makes up why things happen after the fact.
It totally did tho. Primary reason he tried to go past SSJ.
I mean, he climbed on a rock and started screaming.
Typical Vegeta.
Man got SSJ on pure salt.
I’d think more salt would work too.
Tbh yea. With that logic 90% of SFV’s players should be SSJ by now.
Being an earthling is ass.
Future Gohan in the Anime was so dope. The way he was fighting the Androids with one arm was inspirational.
Too bad Manga Future Gohan was so weak.
Future Gohan: “Sup Androids. I been training for a yr. You about to lose.”
Future #17: “Lose? You realized I didn’t use half of my power last time, right?”
Future Gohan: “WHAT?!!!”
Future #17: “Now I won’t let you get away!”
That was so bad.
Yeah, I don’t understand the rationale behind that rule.
They also said the Byakugan Das superior to the sharingan very early on, but the contrary is what was shown
Regarding DB super, there’s a missing fighting from the manga in the anime. Bills fight the other gods of destruction. I don’t know why they didn’t put this in the anime, it would have been awesome:
Gohan has a good death theme though.
One character i wanted DEAD, as in dead dead, erased, vaporized, destroyed, obliterated…is that fucking Zeno.
I hate that lil bastard with a passion. His voice, looks, everything.
