The GranGlue Fighter Lounge: Corona Virus bodied Shadaloo Free AF

What’s funny is that the way information has been rolled out in the US turned things into a bigger clusterfuck than it needed to be.

The “just a flu” meme was hilariously pervasive from a lot of people; hell it made its way here into SRK too (because the FGC is sub big cultures hence things trickle down to it as opposed to it being a problem the scene created…not that people understand why that would matter).

Its all sort of FUBAR and people are going to want a lot of places open because they need cash on hands to take care of life. I’m okay but that doesn’t mean the rest of the people around me are. But instead of really figuring out how we do this, we got 1,200 in memes per person and a senator who said “That should last you 10 weeks”.

:expressionless:

But it makes perfect sense. Only someone in that state could endure this game at that level for so long.

Had to mug Starhammer’s signature gif for that one, this is just too much bullshit.

Hol up. Stop. First things first. Go to the thread.

See you there.

Horrible news. I’ll be praying for her recovery.

I don’t think even the 80% breeze through it. My friend tested positive and she’s a healthy 30 year old. Spent about 2 weeks at home crying and thinking she was going to die. I hate to think about what it does to the more vulnerable.

Well the other issue is that you legitimately my have some really fucking bad lung damage. But the US is so decentralized and the US news networks have taken such a beating the last…6 years that proper info is rough.

With the 2010 census data, the people over 60 back then was 20% of the country. So on that alone one comorbidity factor was pretty high up. Add obesity to it, asthma, smokers, high blood pressure and…diabetes (china strangely has a high amount of diabetics).

So feel free to play with those numbers. But right, what we aren’t telling people is that instead of asking a lot of people to play ball (because that’s hard) instead we should put you at risk of a disease that can put you in the hospital for at least 2 weeks which you won’t be able to afford to pay and could ALSO give you long term lung damage in a country where protections on health care are lobbied against by insurance companies.

Hahahaha bro what?

I got a call from my mom saying that my cousin (who has heart issues) woke up from a natural coma trying to rip away the life-support tubes because she was struggling that much to breathe. She had to be put in an induced coma.

I remember hearing on the news that it’s like drowning on dry land. Horrible, terrifying and painful.

Then we should advise those with comorbidities and other vulnerable groups to exercise extreme caution. Just nuking the economy indefinitely is creating an even bigger problem and we’re seeing it in real time. Employment worst than the great depression? That’s nothing to sneeze at. What about people with medical conditions non-corona related? I was just reading about a guy who has a fairly serious condition being told, by his md, to kick rocks until the this blows over.

There is a lot of discrepancy about the lethality of the virus as well as how it’s tallied. Example B:
https://twitter.com/tariqnasheed/status/1253476867274715137

Everywhere isn’t Wuhan or italy and needs to be treated as such (there’s a theory different strains exist) Japan after shilling for the 2020 olympics shut down super late and seems to be doing okay. Considering how densely populated Japan is, and the fact they are barely even testing, they should be doing way worse but they aren’t. Sweden never shut down and seems to be doing not to bad as well. Belarus was like ‘I’m good’ and continued like it was Tuesday.

Going by the initial estimates we should have bodies in the millions (which is what they said at first; even factoring in lockdowns) no such thing. People have just now started wearing masks after spending weeks cart jostling without social distancing. Fauci and friends say 2 mill then 1 mill then 500k then 100k now 60k. 2 million to 60k? And everyone still puts faith in these people?

Clownshoes argument.

Brehs, Japan’s numbers are looking good! They aren’t testing much, so they don’t really know how bad it is, but the numbers are looking real good!!!

Are you serious rn?

Also, why are you posting this in this thread? You have no excuse to not post this in the CoVid thread anymore. I linked you to it and quoted you in it.

Edit: I see All Caps replying again, so let me put something in bold.

Numbers are important because it tells you the mortality rate of a particular illness. Flu takes has a mortality rate of like 0.1% and takes out 60k a year, give or take. If the virus was so deadly, Japan should have a way higher mortality rate especially with such an elderly population. Testing is necessary to track the carriers in order to pinpoint the source of infections, but if you’re only testing people who are coughing up their lungs then you’re not really stemming anything. And yet still, the mortality rate there remains low.

But you’re right I’m done, I’ll keep it moving.

Why gotta talk about Tekken like that fam.

is the smash community going to ever learn that Nintendo doesnt care about their competitive scene?

Apparently not. Nintendo cares about software sales not E-sports events.

Yeah, when I got a switch, l’m not going to lie, I was half tempted to buy Smash and a LAN cable adapter… Then I realized I would be the slim minority and said F that shit.

We need to recognize that the biggest roadblock here is that you need to buy an adapter to play wired to begin with.

That ain’t happening for a gigantic chunk of the playerbase. Also, lol online smash rules.

It just ain’t happening.

It’s really amazingly stupid that the docking station doesn’t have an Ethernet port

I dont think its stupid as like they knew it would force people to use more money to get a better connection.

Nintendo is dumb when it comes to online and has been dumb with it for years.

It’s like they don’t really understand it. It’s kind of impressive that they really invested in Splatoon as a flagship title and then pulled this off. It makes absolutely no sense.
