I’ve had dreads for 3 yrs? Felt good since I was always told growing up only felons and drug dealers have dreads or I couldn’t get a job with dreads.
They just feel mad liberating. I only have them up top though. Managing a full head would need assistance or a lot more time investment. Take my side/back low, line it up and just dreads do their thing.
Lol this actually reminds me of my childhood. I wanted cornrows and a gold chain just like Allen Iverson and both my parents (who weren’t even together!) told me no on both smh.
I don’t even want that shit anymore but I might do just because I can now.
So uh, hey, if you interested in the Runeterra card game at all, I am now wrapped up in their launch weekend event apparently? I’ll have more details tomorrow but if you looking for coins/cards unlock you might be able to get em by watching my twitch or something i dunno lol
ill do whatever papa riot tells me to do as long as I can get my foot in the door with the fighting game. Runeterra also pretty cool so that helps
It plays nothing like M:TG. Honestly it’s a pretty fresh perspective for a TCG. It’s unique, but not so much that you get lost. Like…for most TCGs I could find a pretty easy comparison. “Oh it plays like this.” or “Oh, it’s like a mix of X and Y” but not so much for LoR.
Idk, it’s weird. It’s familiar enough that it’s not all that difficult to pick up but the mechanics at the same time take time to actually pound into your skull for optimization. The main pull is how the turn structure works. There’s no “Your Turn, Opponent Turn” like basically…every TCG on the market. Honestly the Turn Structure reminds me heavily of the Score DBZ TCG in that essentially you’re both taking it, and the turn doesn’t end until both players pass but there’s one active attacker (though unlike DBZ this can be manipulated in LoR).
Honestly the best way to learn is just to watch a random video on it.
This is a good video for people who want to lab shimmies in SFV.
I was thinking of labbing this in SFV to carry over into 3S, but I don’t think it will as punishes, wakeup/walk speeds, and throw ranges are probably different… Still may not be a horrible idea though, as people do take their shimmying experience between games.
There’s a bit of MTG in that like any cardgame there are comparable mechanics. Like Quick Attack is analogous to first strike (but only works while you are attacking), but its pretty much its own thing.
my favourite things about it so far are
turn structure. Its both players turns all the time, you don’t just gotta sit and wait and do nothing while its other guys turn. Basically its I do thing, then you do thing, then I do thing, then you do thing. The only thing that really structures it as a “turn” is who gets to attack. You can both easily cast creatures and spells on whatever turn it is.
spell mana. Mana you don’t use gets saved (up to 3) for later turns. So it really helps mitigate the sting of a nothing round, as now your next round is gonna have a bit of a boost thanks to it.
Game is just lively as hell. Good animations, I love the fact the cards all talk to each other and react to shit. There is a card that creates a yeti in your deck, and when he see’s a yeti get played he freaks out and goes “the legends were true!!!”
