The GranGlue Fighter Lounge: Corona Virus bodied Shadaloo Free AF

Details schmitails.

Any character(s) you’re thinking about?

I don’t even know the characters in Tekken. I’ve never seen more than 10 minutes of gameplay at a time and it’s always someone like Gouki or Geese; characters that are DLC that I know of from elsewhere. I honestly couldn’t tell you. I have yet to start the game. I don’t even know if it’s a 4, 6 or 8 button game. Are there EX moves? and so on.

I truly know nothing about Tekken. This isn’t the Wild West. This is fucking outer space for me.

Damn, gamestop really only having one copy of granblue lol. They had to dig for it in the back. They had no idea about the game

Take care man.

Try an ascorbic paracetamol daily incase you forget a mask.

I don’t have some awesome dystopian get up so the mask situation is :man_shrugging:

Here you go then. Not all the DLC-characters are in, so here’s the short summary on them:

Summary
  • Eliza: weeb Akuma. Also fairly bad
  • Noctis: has swords and thus insane range. Good 50-50s and whiff punishment
  • Geese: Bryan / Jin-esque, with meter cancels and fireballs. Does ABSURD damage if he has meter.
  • Anna: High risk high reward. Robbery incarnated, but very unsafe
  • Lei: Super complex stance character with a lot of weird movement and stances. Very creative and open ended
  • Negan: Miguel with a stick
  • Marduk: kind of a grappler. Has a tackle move that forces 50-50s, amazing lows and great oki. Really dirty, really fun.
  • Armor King: the result of King / Heihachi slash fiction. Great throwgame combined Mishima mobility and whiff punishment.
  • Julia: bullies people with great approach tools and is great at opening people up once they respect her. Massive combo damage and insane mixups.
  • Ganryu: in-your-face 50-50 poke character, has amazing low-risk mids and lows and can really make people second-guess themselves once he’s in their face
  • Zafina: Stupidly evasive character with a solid poking game and the best backdash / sidestep in the game, combined with great mixups and whiffpunishers
  • Leroy: Jack of all trades, master of all of them. Also has a dog.

Oh wow. Thank you so much!

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Actually its Zeku’s baby. Unlike THOT|Ibuki, Laura has only flirted with one guy on the Street Fighter roster.

You have to specially guard for mids now?

Anyone else in here get granblue yet?

Why would we? Bad netcode, full price and no crossplay. This is starting to sound like DBFZ…

Granblue won’t have crossplay ?

That’s a bummer.

There are basically three hit states in 3D games: highs, mids and lows. Highs can be ducked under, mids have to be guarded standing, lows have to be guarded crouching.

As someone who came from 2D games to 3D myself: this is one of the things that really took some adjusting to. Frame traps, timing mixups and okizeme setups are definitely present, but a lot of the time you can simply force a low-mid 50-50 just by blocking something and thus having frame advantage. Of course, the risk-reward of the different move types differ greatly, as lows are pretty much always unsafe if blocked and mids tend to be more rewarding on hit and safer on block (while highs are mostly used for interrupts and space control), so there’s a lot of mind-games and calculations involved when you’re poking at someone up close.

Aha. So it’s like the 3rd Strike wake-up game, but for blocking instead. As for highs, there’s no blocking them? Is there a parry system? Actually, these are stupid questions I could figure out when I actually launch the game. If these are stupid, don’t answer. I’ll figure it out.
