I don’t mind the whole cinematic mode gone in SF5, just for the return of a decent arcade mode like CVS2.
tbh the important thing in the cinematic mode in SF5 is the FMV and details, but overall it lack replay value compare to standard arcade mode.
I remember I have even created arcade mode alike because of desperately want it to return along with how to make cinematic mode had random feel that I request for SF5.

The netcode has been much better for me overall than SF5 (until the recent patch, which improved my experience but also introduced more input drops) playing people from New York and LA from way down here at the bottom of the US.
Now this is probably with a couple hundred to thousand people that got the important version and played online. Meaning that most players probably had LAN connection or weren’t on wifi and with the pool being smaller I got paired up with those players more often.
After today, when the gates are open to wifi johnny, and 420ping jason I’m not sure what to expect.

Nonsense. Story-Wise, all arcade modes in SF are a bloody mess.
So much non-canon bullshit, especially in SFV, that I just refuse any kind of Arcade Mode unless it works like Xrd. (Xrd’s Arcade is a prologue to the main story. No non-canon garbage.)

As a guy that mostly played arcade modes for roughly 15 years, you guys need to find the joy in playing real people. I was surprised at how much fun I had in DBFZ’s arcade mode, but that’s only because it’s been so long since I did.
Even with MVC2, I’m only booting it up to lab, and I used to love its arcade mode.
Honeslty, even if the SFV netcode is trash or whatever, play ST on Fightcade or something.
… at the same time, the fuck do I care for? Play whatever you want, lol. I just think you’ll have more fun.
