I wonder if the HUD in Strive is still a work in progress. Because it’s still better than the original HUD… but not by a lot. Still looks like the interface for some random iOS game
That’s 640 pm my time (pst), which works for me
I do, but I don’t sprinkle the seasoning on it.
Struggle snacks.
Nigga you toss random condiments in your froot loops, get outta here.
Ayyyy. That’s what’s up.
This game looks great, but that hud gets a hard pass. Especially the combo counter.
It’s actually pretty normal, in Taiwan they are sold already seasoned just to be eaten that way, like crisps. Kids love 'em.
On the strive topic, they seriously need to consider toning down damage, have you seen the damage on wild throw?
“Blowin’ on the indo, GameCube Nintendo
Five percent tint so you can’t see up in my window”
I still remember the first time I saw that video on BET Uncut.
Someone should do a comparison between new wild throw and old wild throw from AC where he gets a small sidewinder loop after it. Not sure what kind of damage he got in xrd but i dont think the damage is much different compared to old games.
I also wonder if they are going to let the overall high damage rock when they release the game and balance it from there. Since its probably going to be harder to open people up in this game, they want the damage high. Command grab characters are going to be top tier lol
Check out the combo 32 seconds in
I think WT could reliably get you 20-30% midscreen and 30-35% in the corner in Xrd (meterless), unless my memory is completely off. The Strive WT definitely seems really good, but it’s not far off from where it was in Xrd.
I think we found the next DLC for MK11

Daffy not bad, but i wanted Quick Draw Mcgraw. He would make a good zoner.
He would be an Erron Black clone. Better to just make him a skin.
Watch Daffy body that fool Scorpion, his wizarding powers make Quan Chi look like a pussy!
Daffy Duck is a goddamn chad, and that’s a fact.
Strive has really pretty stages but I hate how poor of a visibility the character models have in some of them, especially the snow stage they showed during that live gameplay demo stream. It’s especially weird when you consider that one of key things ArcSys’ are striving for with this game is “visual clarity”, and yet all the design choices in Strive so far are completely opposite of that
Poor character visibility, shit interface, moving character portraits, gigantic combo counter text, barely seen gauges, etc
SF5 gives me issues with this too. There are certain combinations of color pallete/stage backgrounds that make it really hard for me to keep track of characters. Might also be an issue of just playing in the training mode stage a lot too. For comparison about how weird this is, I can play in Skies of Honor with no issues.
SF4 if anything was well lit for the character models. MvC3 started the nonsense of characters disappearing into the background (SHIELD carrier at night + dark color characters). Hopefully somebody lets ArcSys know that said shit sucks and nobody likes it.
Hahaha yeah, I played Es first on BBTag and liked the way she worked there. Tried to get into regular BB with her but something didn’t click.
I also really enjoy playing Waldstein in BBTag but not as much in UNIST. Weird how those things work out.
Your brain isn’t delayed enough for CF Es I guess.
Maybe you get used to it.
I think she plays super neat though; but a lot of BlazBlu characters play super neat.
They all just look like ridiculous cosplay and combos are too long. That and its a grind to learn how all the oki you’re gonna eat works.
yes, but there is an execution barrier to access that damage in Xrd.
His midscreen WT combos were hella easy and his universal corner combos weren’t particularly difficult either. His 100% optimized stuff was hard though, but that’s Xrd in general.
If the Strive WT still was a launcher it’d probably do comparable damage and the combo would still probably be as easy as the miscreen WT combos in Xrd, if they’re still going for the “make the execution as easy as possible”-route they seem to be going for.
