Sounds like DC emulation is stupid then. Shoot some screenshots, I’ll try to figure something out.
I need the controller configuration screen from the emulator. Odds are that you’re not being able to actually map your buttons properly.
It’s been a month or two since I dabbled in RetroArch.
I think in the second column in the RetroArch Main Menu, there’s some place to change bindings for your inputs or something.
I don’t think you can press the button to re-assign it though. You need to know button Windows registers as what (ie, Input Button 3 = ?).
Also, I didn’t have luck doing this in the game’s main menu in RetroArch (press F1 when the game is running etc), I only had luck in the Retroarch main menu (before you load a game)

Funny enough Lilith is my favorite of the DS.
Sadly enough, she sucks in the one game she is in.

Maybe Naeras can find out which button is what on that joystick properties screen. I dunno the path in English, it’s something like: Dispositives and Printers -> “device name” -> Properties.
It should show up a screen with all the stick buttons so you can test and recalibrate them.

I always found funny that some people tried to argue that the game was balanced because an specific player could win some tournaments on japan with her.
Despite admitting that she goes like 8:2 against a good chunk of the cast, lol.

Why do I keep getting replies thinking I hate this game or think it is bad or not fun? I just think it has a lot of bullshit damn

Oof. If you can’t press a button in that screen for it to be assigned, you’ll need to do that Windows thing I told PlusFrames earlier.
Once you know which buttons are which, it’ll be a breeze.

Most of the 3s section, lol.
I pressume they took offense because by the time the game was highly controversial and you had a lot of top players speaking about what they disliked about the game and why it wasnt really an SF, like the legendary Viscant post.
So you had players from multiple games discussing actively the virtues and fallings of the game and fanboys who thought it was the best game ever got pissy about it.
