It was. Only problem is that it got really boring after a while for me. People would get carried hella hard off of lucky hits and running around unimpeded because of no good anti air assists.
Its silly to bordering on fraudulent. Zero goes into the hair and half the cast can’t do shit about pizza cutter. How is that modern fighting game design?
Which is funny because SF5 plays a hell of a lot like MvC3.

I feel like MVC3 didn’t hit the same for many MVC2 players. I also noticed a lot of MVC2 players (J360, Wigfall, Viper) enjoyed MVCI much more than MVC3.
There was a lot of stupid shyt in the game that could only be chalked up to nothing more than bad game design. X-Factor, TAC’s, no tech rolls, etc. Despite that, I enjoyed the game for many yrs. It eventually got to a point (in its much later yrs) where it became more fun for me to play than watch.
Speaking of Zero, I feel like the only game he wasn’t overly dumb in was MVCI. Probably because I stopped paying attention to it after awhile. That character is stupid good in nearly every game he’s in. Fighters or not.
