But it’s not because of Epic Store, that’s just asinine.
I’m not getting it because it took so damn long I really doubt there’s going to be the shred of a playerbase in Asia.
So I’ll wait for a discount.
I’m just extremely pissed at this whole waiting thing.
if you can’t afford the 4 peanuts a month it takes to play online on console and get your multiple free games every month, then you have no business dealing in gaming anyways sorry to say!!!
There’s no “hate boner for Epic” involved. I’m literally questioning why they would release it on that particular platform when it’s an almost guaranteed way to make the game sell less.
Its one thing for a platform to keep their own games exclusive to a storefront, its their right. Epic however is bringing console paid exclusivity bullshit to PC. Letting games get advertised for other storefronts for months, get preordered on their storefronts, and then swooping in with exclusivity nonsense. The fact that got caught jacking steam user info from their customers without permission combined with their 3S Sean tier internet security means they can stay the fuck off my PCs.
Gratuitous english. That’s pretty much it, really.
Nah, he’s literally called Zato-One. Iirc, he even calls himself like that in Sign’s story mode or Rev’s arcade mode. Can’t remember which.
That’s not exactly true, a lot of devs were pissed at Epic for putting their games on sale all the time because it lowered the value of their work.
I know it sounds like corporate greed, but it’s more of a reverse inflation issue because in the long run it hurts devs’ ability to make money and produce good games.
Wrong again. If you buy games with DLC, you need a shopping cart to put them all in a single bill.
I literally lost a sale on Jubei for BBCF because I mashed through the purchase and didn’t add it to the cart. By the time the bill was accounted for, (I don’t use credit cards.) the sale was over.
theres no difference between console paid exclusivity and pc. Its PLATFORM exclusivity.
Guess what, developers love it! You think they don’t know what they are doing when they take the deal? Blame the devs, not the person offering the deal. Many devs taking the epic deal don’t know if their game will break profitability and now they know it will thanks to a deal epic will give, that nobody else in the competitive space will, and they are very thankful for it.
That and in general the cut per copy sold on epic is much better than it is than steam, which is another reason why developers love epic game store.
So basically you are angry that the pro-developer storefront is giving them options they can’t get anywhere else.
Also seconding Zio’s take about it taking too damn long to release.
SNK spit on PC players. Simple as that. First they screwed us up by making it Stadia-exclusive, then they made it Epic-exclusive to nickel and dime them.
Game’s about to look like a flop and a half on PC and it’s their own damn fault.
They didn’t say Epic specifically, just that they’d turned down a deal offered by an unspecified PC download sales platform. Not because they objected to the idea, but rather because they felt the unnamed services sales expectations were far too low. Which was pretty weird, “hundreds of thousands” sounded more than reasonable for a PC release of an SNK fighter.
Then they released the game through Stadia. Due to the silence about any other PC release, that left the public confused as to whether or not an actual PC release was still in the works, or had been quietly shelved, or if the Stadia release was the PC release. When SNK did say anything, it either left things vague or outright added to confusion, such as the weird Tweet that what SNK viewed as a PC release wasn’t what the public viewed as a PC release.
