The Sega tease is most likely not Virtua fighter I’m finding out. It’s more than likely segata sanshiro, the URL has segashiro in it and the belt in it says “ones son” and that’s supposed to mean something tied to that. And other places are saying the same, I ain’t ever heard of it but oh well.

Segata Sanshiro was some sort of promotional character-shtick for Sega Japan during the Saturn days. If I recall correctly, he only appeared in some sort of collection of minigames. It’s very doubtful that they’d release a game centered around this character, and that also doesn’t explain the prominent ‘6’ in the teaser. We may be getting VF6 yet…
Yeap. Having a countdown that begins with 6 and ending up as some Segata Sanshiro game has to be some major April Fool’s joke. It has to be VF6. Sega can’t be that stupid.
Also, since Microsoft and Sony have shown their next gen consoles, I assume this will be a launch title for them.
Well, they haven’t Remastered Shinobu or that other ninja game with the kunoichi. They haven’t remastered Panzer Dragoon games. They haven’t made a new Fighting Vipers. So, yes, I would say they can be they stupid!
I guess we’ll see in 5 days, you guys seem to have a lot more faith in Sega than I do. I’d rather go in expecting disappointment and be pleasantly surprised than the other way around. It’s been almost 14 years I’ve have had too many false alarms.

People have been hounding Sega for VF6 for years now. They would certainly not release a teaser like this if the announcement weren’t VF6, as the backlash would be huge. Besides, what else could the 6 refer to?

It’s actually fun.
I actually don’t have space to install anything since I’ve yet to replace my HD, but I already got them into the Steam Library to play them later.
