Yeah I realized that really quick, doing speed tests we were getting around 5 to 600 over WiFi on most devices after installation. Whenever I get back home I’ll check hardwired on the ps4.
Dumb question but when I run the PS4 wired will it effect the rest of the household or vice versa?
Okay, GBVS fireball wars are actually really interesting because of how spot dodge and roll affects fireball cooldowns, since cooldowns don’t recover before the projectile leaves the screen. You can really mess with people that way. I had hella fun with completely dismantling a Metera player from fullscreen just now.
Alright, I’ll send a message to the other stream homie to see how to fix it.
You know, I like spot dodge but never been a huge fan of rolls. They feel a bit non-commital from full screen. But they’re sort of situational anyways.
Rolling forward in reaction to a fullscreen projectile isn’t a bad option, but if you do, your opponent gets to act before you do, so even though you’ll get out a fireball before they will (due to cooldown), they can still mess you up if you attempt to throw a fireball.
This is purely in the sense of projectile wars though. If a character wants to get in (or push a defensive opponent towards the corner), fullscreen rolls are a good way to advance without comitting much.
Still kind of similar to sf fireball wars. Cant throw another projectile til it’s off the screen
Also just realized narmayas 5L in kagura stance retracts her hurtbox a little bit, so she can continue pressure in certain situations like after her cl.5H which is -2 and even her full autocombo string puts her at a weird distance where you can counter poke with it
Yeah, but the cooldowns kind of add another dimension to it, I feel like.
As someone who likes chucking plasma and slowplaying, I’m really liking how they handled fireballs overall in GBVS, cooldowns included. You have tools to kills plasma chuckers but the fireballs themselves are hella good and can be used in a lot of cool ways. Also, EX projectiles are super good but I very rarely want to throw them because it means I’ll give up one of my main neutral tools for a significant amount of time. It feels rather fresh because this isn’t something I’ve had to consider in FGs before.
Yea, Ex’s make things really interesting. So do shortcut dp’s. I can react in footsies way more often than I could without the shortcuts. I can basically beat low level players with just my 2M and shortcut dp
