Besides having power over people without putting in the long slog other jobs do, why do so many racists join the police force?
Police be like “Those anti lockdown protesters are heavily armed with shotguns and highly aggressive, but let’s leave them be”
Also police “Look at the negras over there peacefully protesting unarmed, let’s gas em LOL”

I wouldn’t say quietly since one of the founding tenents of the U.S. was White Supremacy. Along with overt oppression, they can always count on ‘Moderates’ and ‘Liberals’ to defend them, because those two groups LOVE to pearl clutch against those being oppressed.
Seeing posts around the internet 20 years in counting (add another ten years for in-person converstation) that looting and destroying property are just as bad, as people being killed because the color of their skin.
Power and state-sanctioned murder. It’s not a coincidence.

I firmly believe that there needs to be a better screening and training for LE. It’s a job that is inherently stressful while simultaneously being on the lower end of the pay scale for public service. If they matter that much, why is the pay so terrible? Knowing what my dad did on a single income is crazy.
