[] Reflected gradient (probably white, since you want that metal shine).
[] CTRL+ALT+G (mask? forgot the proper term) onto the selected areas.
[] Change blending options if necessary.
[*] Animate the shiz!

Unless, of course, you already knew how to do all that, and I’m just an idiot. It would probably work really well with the text along with the metal parts.
