I don’t really read magazines that have a clear preference of console choice right on the front. This goes for Xbox Magazine or Nintendo Power (especially Nintendo Power). If you link me to the article I’d read it since Metacritic didn’t have it there, but a game can be worthy of being called a ‘classic’ without being given a perfect score.
Cannot wait. Damn, between this, Pokemon, and No More Heroes 2 (which I still haven’t picked up due to work and Bayonetta eating all my time), I won’t have time to play shit. Plus RPGs like FF XIII and Resonance of Fate… good God I hate the industry sometimes…
The reason why its getting lower scores then the first two is because the gameplay hasn’t really changed at all. Then again, I wouldn’t count that against it. Everything else is a ten though no matter what.
Like said, if the formula ain’t broke don’t fix it.
Kratos is angry and violent. That’s really all I need from this game. I haven’t really been bothering with reviews because I know I’m going to buy and enjoy it.
Exactly. I don’t care what any of the reviews have to say, I bought the first 2 games and loved them, so the third is a must have. Not to mention the fact that it’s on PSTriple this time around so the graphics will be extra buff.

Two of them kind of made sense, but one of them had what seemed to be the three wise men, and that just threw me off.

Review score doesn’t really mean much as long as the game is fun & enjoyable. The use of a single score system to judge video games is flawed anyways.
Think it’s really just an Easter Egg/cool little tidbit that they added in there. Guess the time of Kratos and the greek gods predates the coming of Jesus by a few thousand years or something.

OK so played the game for 3 hours and-
]Graphics are FANTASTIC; if you have an HDTV that shows stuff at true 60 FPS, you’ll be astounded as to how well they made the graphics. My one gripe though is that the subtitles look VERY tiny; good luck for those with ye olde TV sets ^_^;
The area you fight in is bigger than the previous games, such that enemies and Kratos all look very small, but if you focus carefully you can time for counters and dodge attacks.
Gameplay at the start is similar to previous games, for some reason I can’t get enough of his combos using his blades even after 3 games.

has changed this time around; depending on the equipped weapon, the magic you use when pressing R2 will be different. For Kratos’ blades, he surrounds himself with shields and spears pop out around him to hit enemies

the 1st new weapon you get is a variation of the blades he usually use; dodging is slower with this one but it’s combos are much like the blades, only difference might be it’s later upgrade’s abilities and it’s magic
Overall game is great, but the extra damage you take from attacks in Hard mode can be frustrating =_=[/details]
just beat god of war 3, fucking awesome! plenty of oh shit i can’t believe they just did that moments. I like it as much as god of war 2, those two games are top tier, god of war 1 following closely behind!
