time difference surely matters. The times I frequent the boards, usually evenings, there is not much going in the less popular fighters.
I dont have time to set an appointment either.I prefer to visit the site, get challenged or challenge any player and play. I will not say no to any challenge either.
On GGPO there is a high chance you’ll play KOF98-2002, SFA3, VS, MvC etc.
regarding Vampire Savior and Last Blade, it is more likely to find a match on GGPO than Supercade.But on Last Blade, only the veterans frequent the rooms and it is unlikely to find a match. Unfortunately while some of them are pros in the game, they are newbies in manners, so I let them be.
I have no lag issues in Supercade because I play mostly players from Europe, same thing with SF4. Only a select few Latin Americans have good connection so I mainly play against them. If a lag issues appears with any player, we play on GGPO instead. In Supercade usually 3 out of 10 matches have lag issues, but if you play platformers or beatemups it is not that serious
I played few games on Supercade.I had seen that game on the arcades when I was at high school and was impressed with the graphics.
I did not realize then how problematic the gameplay was.
Just like he said, most used Abobo and it was impossible to win even a game.
But when the opponents switched to other characters, things were a little better.
When Rage of the Dragon appeared I did not bother with DD again.
Those guys have no clue how to play Double Dragon you could easily jump out of that block string if you block an attack while in the air you can jump again. Tick throw is way too slow to actually use in match they just want to mash those heavy attacks like any scrub.
True. If only I could get one… where I live the only thing you can do is either get wireless or wait for years for the wired companies to invest in the needed infrastructure. Funny thing is, I live only 200m away from the wired area.
At least I can play well at nights, but forget about doing anything before that…
I think he just means for routers. If you have cable or DSL, you should use an ethernet cable to connect instead of wi-fi.
I don’t really have that option, since my landlord just gives me access to his wireless network instead of letting me run a cable up two storeys.
For $10 /month and unlimited service, I’m not going to argue.
I know have GGPO. I was playing with a friend and we kept getting slowdown, from my end. Now this confuses me as I never had slowdown playing games on PS3 or at least very rarely. He said my ping spiked up a lot. I figured it was my brother (and it may be) but I’m not sure.
thank god ggpo finally works for me…first place ive lived in for 3 years where i can GGPO!
Any one here getting Vampire Savior:Resurrection for game system consoles since it has GGPO or will you just stick with your PC/LapTop for your GGPO fix instead?
I’ll probably do both like I’m doing with OE, but I’m still a noob on simply using ggpo and haven’t really used it without someone there to hold my hand.
Something happened that bothered me.
A week ago I was playing Last Blade 2 on GGPO against a player with 110 ms ping.
I tried something difficult, Akari’s Power mode combo (d,u C - d,u C - hcb,f AB). Missed it even though I timed it correctly.
Tried yesterday the same move on Supercade against a player from Brazil with a 350 ms ping. Gameplay was stuttering. And move worked twice!
thing is, in offline training mode I cant even perform that move (1 out of 10 or 0 out of 10)!
So I wonder whether it has to do really with ping or with Supercade using a newer version of Finalburn with less offline input lag
if one of the connections is unstable( high jitter) it causes dropped inputs

i use ggpo all the way. only available substitute is arclive and no body uses it.
