im tired of gt goku and his dad having all the tools they have, meanwhile krillin cant even do down heavy.

its past due for a severe balance patch. and also for assists.
but arscys too focused on making & selling more broken characters with the balance becoming more shit with every new character release.
because money.
i miss the days when devs actually strove to balance fighters.
GT definitely should be nerfed, but I’m so tired of people acting like every DLC character has been S Tier, lol. Only like three of them are even considered top tier by a large margin of people.
GT Goku is hella annoying, for sure, but we calling GT Goku broken when Leroy is right next door taking literally 6 of the 8 spots in Evo finals? Seems a bit much to me. Even despite the amount of GT’s, there was a surprising amount of variety at Frosty Faustings. We’re getting a balance patch soon anyway, I feel like we can at least wait and see what they change over the next month or so. No need for the theatrics.
Though, yes, add more assists per character. 100% agree. Been saying this pretty much since launch.
I would honestly not be surprised if DBFZ finals next week have a similar situation. Kid Goku’s population is very high among top players

UI is also going to get a refresh and new modes. Sounds like Season 3 is going to be a slight refresh. I’ll post the announcement when I get a chance.
They are also going to forgo waiting to patch the game until the end of Season 3 and instead patch when they feel it’s necessary to do so. They said not doing it in like small parts but doing big patches at a time is what Hiroki said. So I imagine they’ll let the game rock for like 3-4 months and have like bunch of to do stuff on a board and then just address everything.
Looks like some characters might be getting new moves? I only say that because at 1:99 Goku comes in to do an assist which looks like a combo of his 2nd hit of his standing L, The kick that he uses when guard cancels by himself to launch and then finishes with his overhead special. It’s that or some characters are going to have certain ‘combo’ moves like this as an assist only thing. I’m going to lean towards the latter until I see more evidence of the former.
Looks like that Goku assist is called ‘Dragon Storm’ @ 3:52.
Finally. Finally my prayers are answered. I can’t explain how satisfying it is to watch Krillen and Yamcha jump out to do a FUCKING BEAM.
This season gonna be so sick.
That’s if they give that to them as an option…would make sense to do so but I wanna see it first considering the possibility of them making assist specific attack sequences. Krillin is probably going to have Solar Flare guaranteed as one of them but I’m interested to see if they would dare give his over head special as assist.
Edit: Oh man what if they gave black his command grab beam as an assist option?
Edit 2: Something else to consider also when regarding these assists is that they may also modify some of them a bit in utility. Vegeta got his M dp as an assist and instead of kicking the opponent direction he’s facing he seems to kick the opponent towards you afterwards.

Edit: rewatched it again and saw where I missed that they did a clash on the assists with them. Also missed apparently that Basegeta got combo assist like Goku did and Beerus does his dp followed by kicking the opponent back towards you.
