Base Vegeta
A Gohan, bardock, gotenks, Tien, base vegeta, s vegeta, 16 will see most play with sprinkles of the remaining cast. Fat buu and ginyu are sleepers that will move to the top this go around.
Tien’s been sleeper for a while and now that he got buffed it makes sense.
What makes Fat Buu the new sleeper?
His stand light hits crouching now lol.
I was expecting something…stronger I guess.
He was already strong with good mix ups and damage but you could duck his stand light for free.
Edit: Hell Nappa might be pretty strong too.
What happened to Kid Buu? He fall off as hard as Cell?
actually if you recall I was the smartest person in this thread or did we forget who correctly guessed how the game would work with out even playing it while 99% of the people here were complaining and saying I was going to be wrong. You guys were the ones who couldnt have a conversation with me

For Kid Buu They nerfed the speed and increased the scaling with stomp but only down stomp.
Scaling and speed for down back and down forward stomp are the same. So change your combos a bit, use the others for pokes and it’s all good.
They did remove ball cross up.
He still has a great mix up assist too.
He’ll fall off cause bandwagon/new nerf mentality then come back when peeps realize he’s still stupid.
I’m expecting this to happen with Cell too to be honest. Too much tech was thrown into that man to have him just sit out for the rest of the game’s life

Cell got wrecked, ain’t coming back till next patch.
Standing Light, Crouching Light: Increased the start up frame.
Low Kick: Damage scaling increased when using this move as a combo starter.
Jumping Medium: Increased the start up frame.
Jumping Special:
Increased damage scaling.
The first hit now ground bounces an opponent.
Aerial Rolling Crush (Light/Medium Ver.): The move will no longer hit an opponent on the back.
Cell is still one of the strongest characters in the game, he’s just not an almost mandatory pick anymore since he’s no longer the perfect character who had everything besides size going for him.

I think a lot of people are over rating Tenshinhan. Sure he is a solid character but I don’t see him at the top with the real high tiers. Acqua is the only top tier Japanese player I’ve seen that uses him. And even he switched to Vegeta yesterday.
Base Goku also seems like a low tier to me.

Tien has everything thing he needs to show up on a top team, but isn’t quite at the place where he can be the one to carry a top team.
Of course, that was also mostly true before the patch.

Tien can combo off volley ball fist solo now and they reduced health lost on his supers. He even has a good assist.
Easily best anchor imo and just a good pick on any team no matter where he is positioned. Sounds top tier.
