It’ll be an ok assist. Just not active enough to be a real hard neutral assist. Covers decent angles, but just too many issues to replace it over Vegeta or goku beam. Have it as a secondary assist.

EDIT: It is a 2L… and it can chain from a 2M (2M2L). Welp that sucks for mixup potential, and supposedly it’s not an overhead.
I dunno about that. I think its’ angles are strong enough to make it something to pursue, rather than it just being an afterthought. It’ll be particularly strong on approach, as the balls not only cover most of the screen, the top one could clip any assist in the game being used to counter neutral, especially a certain Prince.
It’s just not active enough to really snipe anything like Vegeta. Basically because of the 11 second rule to call assist Vegeta has reign over the assist neutrally. They can just wait for you to call the assist and as long as they block/avoid it or super dash through they know you can’t call it again for 11 seconds and then Vegeta is fine to lockdown unless they also have another Vegeta or beam assist to fire after.
If it was a much longer active/lockdown assist it would be better, but with how super dash/vanish work and such just not going to replace any top assist neutrally.
Mmmm, I remain skeptical until I see it in the lab. If they call Vegeta, you might be able to simply countercall Vegito, as he strikes from an area Vegeta would not hit and comes out faster than Vegeta
Not saying it’s going to. Just that unlike a lot of assists it’s one that will need to be factored in by your opponent rather than being written off or massively overshadowed
I think in that situation you can just stalemate and sit on your assist call. If you know that’s what they are going for. Then call your secondary beam assist or just wait for them to throw it. They have more to lose if they call Vegito than you if you can Vegeta. Vegito assist just wont have the screen presence or last long enough to be afraid to wait out neutrally.
Not as much blue balls anymore… he looks like he succeeds in being a different character more so than most the cast …but in terms of being vegito he fails… all the classic vegito charm from other games and series is just a sprinkle. Only there for a second. For a game people are so horny about in terms of all the stuff they take from past games, panels etc… hes lacking quite a bit. Character wise, cool, different should be fun for a bit… vegito wise… not so much.
I mean, Vegito was basically a cockier, goofier Vegeta anyways.

I mean for a game that people are actually making money off of youtube of just them showing all the panels they took a attack from or another games animation where they took something from… wheres vegitos? Vegito lore wise is hella lacking to me. Only one attack with his arms crossed. Wheres all the cool split kicks etc? What about every game before this he always blocks with his hands crossed nonchalantly. his breakdance kick, his nonchalant sliding attackings. Missing a lot of spirit sword stuff too. Which dont get me wrong, although spirit sword is lacking in this game, the “idea” of it is at least done well and makes him seem a little different ki button wise. but wheres the ninja dash slash? Circle slash the whole screen, stabby stuff, etc…
Hes just missing all the charm that makes vegito. Could go on and on… gameplay wise, hes different, not just like everyone else… but vegito wise, he fails to me. Just vegito sprinkles.

And to answer your question, because he’s Vegito Blue. They cut a lot of his Buu fighting moves for his Zamasu fighting moves, where he had to ACTUALLY fight instead of style all day
vanish doesnt count same animation as the special ender. Thats like saying vegitos counter move is a unique when its just his auto combo ender.
And that other argument is stupid as well because we could say adult gohan never uses masenko durning the buu fight as well, kid buu never uses his shoot fireballs destroy everyone in the world as well…and countless other examples. Its the idea of the character that is important what theyve used in general not the exact “oh he didnt use this durning this exact fight so he cant ever use it again” thats retarded. Like you want vegito to actually have to fight, isntead of style. You want a character to not be as “cool” like wtf? Why. Thats like me saying I have a big dick, but I want to work harder so doctor please give me a small dick so I have to work harder. Thats how retarded that logic is to me.

You can see a lot of Vegito’s moves coming more from his fight with Zamasu. His Spirit Sword’s grounded version is the same angle as when he pulled it on Zamasu, while his air version was when he did it on Buu. The face slam and Chun-Li kicks was Zamasu too. Two of his three Supers come from Zamasu, Final Kamehameha, that teleporting face punch/slam. Not entirely sure where the Sword Super came from, but I admit to not reading the manga, though a quick glance showed it wasn’t in the Zamasu fight though. As far as Buu goes, his cross armed kicks, the spirit sword, maybe his assist for when he kills the ghosts is all I can really gather.
ah ya I know, dont test my autism breh I recognize the attacks he uses on zamasu quite well. Im quite vsed on the character through out all his iterations through out the series and games. I am a nerd I do jack off to hentai I did make money in tournaments beating other nerds. Point still stands. The idea of vegito in general has been the dude who doesnt have to try. If you want to go with the anime shows him fighting zamazu a bit more… umm ya I guess… so theres one point for you… but manga version has him raping zamasu with out trying as well. So again in general this is the “idea” of his character through out all the years all the games whatever hes been in.
As for sword super its spirit excalibur he has in a game but actually in one of the games it has a rainbow aura effect and is basically squalls blasting zone. Looks cooler that way, here just looks like lame captin sword to me. Whatever the case already the lamest spirit sword variation arguably Id say.
Unfortunately, ‘the dude who doesn’t have to try’ doesn’t translate to fighting games well. Plus we already have Beerus, who is that on steroids.
